Buy another cheap router (wrt54g*) new or used (not bricked) and load some 3rd party firmware on it. Now you have a wireless bridge with multiple wired devices connected. Plus you rarely need to power cycle. Perfect alternative for the 85 dollar XBOX360 adapter and much more reliable.

I have had this since Christmas. For me it has been a nightmare to set up. I think the main problem in PS2's DNAS authentication process. Anyway, I have searched all message boards on the WGA and a lot of people have the same problems. Don't expect it to work right out of the box. I have it connected to the latest Linksys wireless gateway modem.
aren't you suppose to set it up through your pc and also enter 192.168.1.1 into your web browser to find your router information if you didn't already know.

Yes it will work if there network is unsecure, meaning that you don't need to enter a password to access there network.

even the linksys router i am using has no promblem.
however. if you have promblems with your wireless connections. i suggest to get a "gaming" wireless router to help you out.

hmm 54 Mbps? thats not that good. I heard about a better system like ethernet over like power lines or something? And its supposed to give you 200 Mbps over a more stable connection. It itn't wireless but it works through power lines its an alternative to the adaptors so then I guess it should be better i suppose?

lol....360 fanboys are retarded....im not a fanboy for any Copany cause i have all 3 love Gears on 360 Halo 3 belongs in the trash though...and just go the Wii fit it has somepretty fun games on it....But overall i think PS3 is the best quality...even though my Fan level has went into the 3/5 fan level it has never overheated and ive left it on for Days...weeks even on Folding @Home when im sleeping...and PS3 has a way better line up for games.And Bioshock is confirmed on PS3

Ps3 is most definitely the best in my opinion, And Your right, 360's they suck, my friend had one for 2 months and it got the red ring of death, he played it 5 times... it got it fixed and it works fine now, but point is, the ps3 is definitely the way to go.

It's really simple. If you need a WIRED ETHERNET CONNECTION in a place where you can only use Wireless (IE, NO WIRES ARE RUN OR CAN BE RUN) you can use this.
Not just for gaming systems.

i don't understand why there are clips of ps3s overheating then. any computer overheats. i have a 360 and it never over heated but a friend who has a ps3 doesn't like it because it over heats and loads slowly. plus there arn't that many games for it too. so he bought a 360 after. but thats one case out of how many others for both entertainment systems

DUDE CALM Down 360 and PS3 online games wise are about the same quality....what you are paying for on the 360 is the big community and the Marketplace stuff...PS3 is getting server upgrade when HOME Comes out...so maybe just maybe it will easily past XBL Quality.....and PS Store will be getting TV Shows and other stuff like that...and accessing PSN will still be free....AND THE psn community is getting bigger by the moment is im not mistaking its hit 4 Million a couple weeks ago....

Dude i just got a 360 this year to play Gears...but i knew 360 is dead next year cause Halo 3 will die out by the end of 09' and Gears 2 will be the last huge title on the 360 cause SONY makes there consoles last longer PS1 lasted 9 years the PS2 is still going...but the Original XBOX lasted 4 years...and the 360 will last til 09' which means it will had lasted for 4 years.

This morun doesnt even talk about the security or how you setup the router. It only offer you WEP and i can crack WEP in less than 34 seconds. If you have this people will gain your wireless network and take all your information. He never talks about the speed while doing other thing not just watch tivo. For example playing games are you going to lose connection? yes because it doesnt priotice your bandwith and give you the best connectivity. This router is lame and out dated.

Get the D-Link DGL 4300 its is 108mbps the best gaming router out there and has won like 12 awards from major magazines and cridics which this linksys has nothing but bad publisity. if you get this linksys you will have an ofoul time gaming online and alway losing connection because of how bad it is this goy is a fool. I have had this since Christmas. For me it has been a nightmare to set up. I think the main problem in PS2's DNAS authentication process. Anyway, I have searched all message boards on the WGA and a lot of people have the same problems. Don't expect it to work right out of the box. I have it connected to the latest Linksys wireless gateway modem.
