Zergs have to be genuinely creative to beat terran. When you consider 1 zergling is 25 cost and a marine is 50 its an uphill struggle. Marine should be worth 2.5 times a zergling.

@albertbo At 0/0 with no upgrades on either, a marine gets a shot off on the zergling before the ling can hit it. Even ignoring that, a simple look at the wiki and damage vs cooldown shows you that... nope, you're wrong. 35/(6/.86) = 5. eg, 5 seconds to kill a zergling for a marine. 45/(5/.696) = 6.24. eg, 6.24 seconds to kill a marine for a ling. Speedling gives the marine ... closer to this. But if the ling has speed, does the marine have stim? Ups?

@albertbo But that oversimplifies things. 2 zerglings kill one marine, easily. However, 5 marines vs 10 zerglings? Well... That's a bit different of a ball of wax. Then position matters. The Terran has an easy time focus firing a single ling, due to range, where you can't get a surround on one marine with 10 lings. etc.

This was a great series to watch, but all Sen needed was 3-5 infestors. I guess BoxeR's harass and map control stopped him from getting the tech he needed.

Infestor's fungal growth kills marines very quickly after 1.3 (you cast it once, wait 1-2 s and cast it again, entire marine ball dies). It can no longer be outhealed by medivacs, so marines need to stay in a 3 range radius around tanks unless they want to die to fungal.

Getting infestors forces Terran to play much slower, using slow tank pushes... this buys Zerg time, which is very important in ZvT.

Of course he still has it! After all, he was still winning golds in 2006 ! That's a career span of 7 years (1999 to 2006)

It was really only because he had to go to the military that he started to get rusty, back in 2008-2009, but after that, he is now in SC2 !

Remember, Boxer got to the Round of 4 in GSL2. People think this was just luck, but I don't think so. He started SC2 much later and was still good. He "slumped" after that (code A) he was organizing the team SlayerS, which is now BEAST!
