  • i have a question.. i accidentally dropped my guitar and the strings got scratches on them.. does this mean i have to change the strings to new ones?

  • Only one of my strings needs to be replaced so should I replace all of them or just that one??? Also, my guitar is acoustic and I have some "folk guitar strings". Can I use one of those strings with my existing strings or will the sound of the two strings clash?

  • PLZ READ THIS HELP

    hi

i practice daily and keep my semi acoustic guitar in the cover for night(until i sleep) and it can extend up to morning and evening

coz i practice only in evenings

so my question is should i regularly tune and loosen the strings coz my dealer told me to do so regularly but some guys told me that you shouldnt coz its a matter of a day and you can keep the guitar tuned for days if you practice daily

so someone PLZ TELL ME SHOULD I TUNE DAILY AND LOOSEN THE STRINGS?or not?

  • He forgot to mention one important thing.. before and during the tuning you have to stretch the strings!

  • I hate restringing the G B and High E strings

  • why do you wind your low e away to the center and your bass string away from the center? i dont understand. sory for english

  • I popped the 6th string twice. I tighten it up, tune it, it looses tune, I try to tighten more and it pops. What am I doing wrong?

  • @1iiiiillllliiiii1 thats been happening to me. i just decided to be aggrivated and stop. then again i am a teenager

  • i fucking hate putting on new strings cause i always fuck up god dammit!!!!

  • do you need the string winder?

  • Thanks!

  • DAVID DRAIMAN?

  • @Battlescar2 U need to have some slack when you put the string in the the post, so basically when u put the string in the post, don't put it in all the way

  • Why is it when i wind the strings up, they only wrap once if that?

  • I use a keyboard to tune my guitar.

  • thats giutar tunar (the fish) lol

  • 2:20 haha you said doo-doo :)

  • You look like a bald Quentin Tarantino.

  • it's a martin?

  • Thank you so much! I've been having trouble putting new strings on my guitar. The old strings were very light and pop easily. I bought new ones, and I tried to put it on my guitar, but I just couldn't. Thank you.

  • Thx! Done and helped

  • @Hartzil I cut the strings because after I cut them, I tak them and bend them away from the body of the guitar. This way, you don't have loose strings flopping around on the surface. I know a lot of people don't do it, but that's my reason.

  • @S3aCa1mRa1n You don't have to use a string winder. You can use your finger. Some people use wire cutters underneath the pegs to pull them out. I used to do this. DON'T do it. It will leave grooves on your pegs. So the peg remover on the string winder is helpful. You have to watch on some cheapo ones though because often times the plastic will be too thick to fit under the peg.

  • thanks

  • i had that string changer for 2 years and i stilll didnt know i could do that lol thx

  • cool vid man, thanks!

  • @S3aCa1mRa1n you don't have to use it. Just keep turning your tuning peg until the string is verrrryyyyy loose. :)

  • Do i have to use the string winder what else can i do without it

  • Thank you.

  • thanks! im already changin them!

  • hahaha @ 2:21 do-do

  • You know it is eaier just to push the string in then take the peg out. Because when you push the string in, it isnt locked into place. Then you just use your fingers to pull the peg out

  • i snapped my only fucking string because of you!

  • @slaughterallsluts11

    hahaha, noob :D

  • Can I possibly in any way, string mine with out the pins?

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • Cool!

  • ah! i can't get the peg up! i don't have that thing you used, do i use my fingers?

  • @SmartAmerican1 If you loosen the other strings and can fit your arm in the sound hole, GENTLY push the stuck peg up with your finger. It may help to wiggle the bottom of the peg on the inside as well.

  • @guitar2ner thanks, this worked! but there is one i can't get out, very stubborn. I'll have to go out and buy a pin puller i guess.

  • @guitar2ner i tried to do this with my guitar too, but this isn't working :(

  • @SmartAmerican1 A spoon actually works just as well to get the pegs up.

  • Ah 240p, we meet again....

  • thnx 4 d video dude....it ws really helpful

  • Thanks Ghyroz for the compliment. I tried to make the video as detailed as I could withing the youtube 10 minute limit. I know I went a little overboard with protecting the guitar, but it's better to be overly cautious. Do I always use a rag? Nope. But beginners should until they know what they are doing.

  • Nice tutorial dude. This has been really helpful for beginners like me. Thanks for the video!!!

  • Ur such a bitch with the cloth and finger and being carefully not to scratch wood

  • @guitarlovernat14

yeah and when that is a 3 grand martin or gibson and you damage it, you want be bitch calling then will you more like crying on the money you lost in resale value

  • @guitarlovernat14 oh forgot to mention that i sa martin in the video

  • mil gracias. Dios te bendiga siempre!!!!

  • i like to use protection in case sumthin slip or fall too

  • This was a great demo. Thank you Quentin Tarantino for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this.

  • @schouestyr Yeah I've been told I look like Quentin before. I guess it's a compliment... Glad you liked the video. Check out the main guitar2ner site when you get a chance. There's a chord finder on there you can use to quickly find guitar chords.

  • @guitar2ner I've been playing my guitar for a long while now; years. All of a sudden the high e string down tunes rapidly everytime I tune it up. Is there something wrong with my bridge? It has indentations but it worked fine minutes before.

  • @FlopsyDiggins My guess is that you need to tighten the screw just a little that goes into the side of the high E tuning key. Sometimes when the screw loosens a little, you can't tell and the tension on the string will your string out of tune.

  • @schouestyr LMFAO!

  • Thank You!

  • wow that was horrible... im sorry, but people,if you really wanna know how to change your strings check out Bill Baker. look up his name in the search bar and the 1st video that comes up is the BEST way on the planet to restring a guitar.

    YOU are WELCOME =]

  • great

  • First time attaching strings on a acoustic guitar and damn, it was a hassle with these pegs but eventually I got the grip on it (You can say) but I had to secure them several times in the process of whirling up the strings. Oh well, thanks for a great tutorial!

  • This is so extensive! I am grateful! Thanks for posting a quality video :)

  • Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

  • can you guys do a video like that one but with a 10 string guitar a " bajo quinto"
