I love this song, as rendered by Lata Mangeshkar in the 70s. That was set to a more bracing beat. I gifted myself on my 24th birthday when I learned this song independently. My parents were surprised at first but my mom encouraged me soon after. Even as a muslim my mom and I diligently worked to encourage awareness of the essense of this song in our family.

Please buy a book Called "andandmath-the sacred brother hood" originaly written by Bankimcandra Chatterji. Julius J. Lipner has translated the book (with his intro and critics which can be and should be ignored).

Book tells what BHARAT was and could be and how 2400 yrs of rule ( first by Mughals then by Engligh) has changed and ruined it.
