Hey, great playing. I really enjoyed it. You have a very nice fluidity on your instrument. Check out my channel when you get a moment, it may interest you. Thanks
This is just some really nice work. I love it as a learning tool for new ideas and I lobe it for the sheer joy of listening and watching! Thanks so much for posting!
It sounds really nice. I like passive, but your bass makes a very strong argument for active! I am going to try some vibrato at my gigs this weekend! I'll practice it a little before the gig! You make it look very easy! Thanks once again for responding, very helpful.
Thanks for letting me know! I am always worried about chewing up my fretboard with rounds, so I play LaBella 760FS strings, which I like a lot. I have some Rotosounds coming my way, so I'll try them out on the fretless. I used to Roto's a lot 20 years ago, I liked them but for some reason switched to Ernie Ball Slinky Hybrids before ditching them for flats a while back.
Soloing the bridge pickup? Where is your tone setting? Round
Wound strings? How do you keep your fretboard in good shape? Thanks for answering. I also sent you a message on TB so no need to answer here if you responded onTB. Thanks!
@alanpachter I just roll back a little the neck pick up. and yes, these are round wound, elixir medium gauge, an I haven't done anything with the fingerboard.
Never heard such a nice fretless bass inprov!

Oh, one more thing, is that a passive Jazz bass?
alanpachter 9 months ago
@alanpachter it's active. it has EMG's that I got off ebay for $50. they are old and they have a lot more low end the the passive ones.
the elixir's are very smooth and although they are round wounds they won't eat your fingerboard.
