VT was never a military school. It was founded in 1872 as a land-grant universitie, and was originally named the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College. They do have a military-style marching made up from the cadet regiment, but they were never a military school.
In the last 30 years of the rivalry (ending in 2005) the record is WVU 15 wins, VT 16 wins, with the final four years being 2-2. Pretty evenly matched, actually.

What? Im in Killeen, Texas and I highly doubt Morgantown has an economy compared to Killeen. Trust me - I have lived in both WV and Virginia (I LIVED IN BEAMER COUNTRY - Carroll County) I am a diehard WVU fan, but Morgantown isn't that famous.. isn't that economically stable unless you think the coal is going to make that city the best economically in the country.

Haha fool you have obviously never been to Morgantown. First the coal is primarily southern wv, it has little or no effect on Morgantown's economy, which is primarily Medical/Pharm and of course education. Considering Killeen (from what I gather) is primarily dependent on gov. money injected through the base so if that goes, there goes the economy. Look at towns that have lost bases and see what happens, (for example Rome, NY).

I've been once.. but Killeen has the biggest base in the country - like most people in the U.S get stationed there in the U.S - I don't see the base being lost.
Morgantown - ok yes they make the Fentanyl patches all that shit up there. So I guess that is what you are basing the economy on . But Morgantown being one of the best in the economy is WV talk.
