Shockwave has about five minutes here and ten minutes at the end, he doesn't really get shown to do anything, he barley talks and he is taken down in a minute or less by Optimus, so i have been wondering, what the fuck was the point of having him, when he is only really eye candy, they should have had him taking over for megatron or conflicting with starscream, but no he disappears and reappears and dies shortly in that order.

@xMaxyODx maybe through soundwave they coordinated but i doubt they ever met, and of course they never show it, this series was okay but not the transformers i know and love, Shockwave was the lieutenant Megatron left to guard cybertron, he was a loyal and dangerous warrior, next to soundwave he is the next choice as leader, and here they barley even show him, no explanation of who he is just his name, no explanation of why he is here in Chernobyl, and he dies so easily dammit Bay

@dubbeking that's actually quite clever, good on you, just so others know what i meant by eye candy was he was just there for show, he really does nothing and has no bearing or effect on the plot, they just wanted to show a character and then reuse him later on for a fight scene just like Barricade in the first movie.

I used to watch these as a kid but my fiancée and her best friend are experts when it comes to Transformers. I still don't recognize/remember all the Decepticons. (they are hardcore D-Con fans). It was nearly epic that after the first movie, I completely forgot Blackout's name. I just can't remember what that one-eye here was... ARGH.

No. Megatron should have been the main-antagonist for this film. Megatron has always been the main villain. It's always been Optimus and Megatron. Not Optimus and The Fallen. Not Optimus and Sentinel Prime. Megatron doesn't play second fiddle to anybody and it should have stayed that way rather than him going from being the most feared and vicious Decepticons, to The Fallen's clumsy and humble sidekick/cheerleader, to Sentinel Prime's whipping boy.

Well...It is in fact, Frank Welker who was the original voices for Megatron and Soundwave in the G1 cartoons. So yeah. It is an old man. :P

In fact, Frank Welker voiced Shockwave, returned to voice Soundwave, and other minor Decepticons for the film.
