  • I think old fashioned parents like my mother took advantage of this sacrement. EX: "Alright, who did this! who did this." I think overbearing parents have been a turn off to religious participation.

  • I like the intro and the bloopers.

  • Thanks Jennifer and Greg. Your apostolate is wonderful, and is good to promote the faith. I also appreciate the Scriptural Rosary Mysteries via the Rosary Army podcasts, which I play to each day.

  • This is a great video! Thanks.

  • Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

    John 20,21-23

The Catholic Church gave you the Bible...

  • Only Jesus Christ has the power to forgive any sin, not some dude in a black robe and white collar. This is totally unscriptual. By the way, who does a catholic priest go to confess his sins?

  • A priest just goes to another priest for confession sonce they all have the ability to do so. An example is the Pope confesses to a fellow Bishop.

  • Sure it does Kara

    John 20:23

    Matt. 9:8

    Matt. 18:18

    Luke 5:24

And there are many more passages that the Catholics can site as a scriptural foundation for confession. But this is a very long discussion and we can go into it later if you like.

  • Jesus said to his apostles, "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained."

    John 20:23

I squirm at confession but it is scriptural, and it is a good thing to do for one's soul.

    :)

  • Read [20] When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

[21] Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you." [22] And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

[23] If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." [24] John 20:20-24.

  • Amen!

  • A simple yet very informative video about the Catholic faith that will help people understand the importance of confession.

Whenever I go for confession, it isn't easy mainly because I have to say aloud my sins to someone else; sins that I ashamed of. But trust me, after going to confession, it is like a whole burden is off my shoulders.

Confession though difficult, is a gift, and I thank God for giving me this beautiful sacrament.

  • Man these videos are so good! I am going to start RCIA soon and these are helping me out. I was wondering whether y'all were yankees or southerners too. (I'm from the South- I know no one cares) Anyway, these are all very funny and Mrs. Willits is a charismatic actor.

  • I am guessing from the architecture in the background, and the large yards that you live somewhere in the South?

I loved the 'skeleton in the closet'! You guys are really creative!

Penance makes me nervous too. The look on the Priest's face. Total disappointment, but it always ends in knowing by confession I move back into God's grace, and all I had to do was think out loud to an heir of St. Peter.

  • Very funny, yet it makes so much sense. Lutherans believe very similarly. Thank you.

  • lol at the skeleton in the cupboard

  • i love this. word up!

  • These shows are great! Please keep doing them!

  • I'm going through RCIA right now as well...It's great!

  • lol love the bloopers. she says "doh" lol. so cute.

as someone who is undergoing RCIA right now to enter into full communion with God, I must say, this show has helped me understand my faith quite a bit!

    thanks!

  • can't wait for the next video. God bless.

  • whoever chooses the music is great

  • You guys are great and fun teachers! Love your videos and the bloopers too!

  • Wow, I am impressed, once again!

  • I confess this is a great video!..

    God Bless you willits...

  • Yet another awesome episode. This is great topic that I hope gets covered more in future episodes.
