It's the same storyline as the N64 version. Same levels, but the DS has a couple new missons. Also they upscaled the graphics for the DS, it looks smoother, and overall better. In addition they added a load of minigames, which can be unlocked by playing the main game.
I would highly recomend this game, even if you previously owned the N64 version. It's such a great game, and on handheld is even a bonus.
Controls on the DS are a little tedious. You can use the conventional D-Pad, but it encourages you to use the stylus, it's alot quicker, more responsive, and easier to manoevure using the sylus. Plus, it doesn't matter if you are left handed or right handed when using the sylus. So whatever is comfortable for you.
It has great qualities in its own and is very fun and colorful in my opinion. If you're like me and want to take a break from the game you're concentrating on the most at that point in time, it's great for that 1 hour burst. Besides, Yoshi is in the game and he must be added to our kick ass game collections!
