I love 3D CGI, but they should always be used to embelish the practical effects. Iron Man was a good example of this. They actually built the suit and Robert Downey wore it and they made the CG to match it.

I never liked movies that completely depend on 3D. Indiana Jones 4 did this and is one of the main reasons why I disliked it. 3D monkeys and prairie dogs...wtf?

This show was AWSOME!! Nothing beats practical effects. Even in post-CGI movies like Lord of the Rings, the practical effects look a million times better than any computer generated effect would have looked. You'll notice that with CGI, they cheat and give the whole film a look that matches the CGI now. It should be the other way around.

Now some pimply kid from Gnomon school can knock out these shots on his laptop.

@will4ward oh yeah absolutely, because a completley photorealistish helicopterkrash complete with integreted actors and explosions or.. you know.. star wars.. i could do that in 5 minutes, no problem.. special effects nowadays are'nt really complicated at all.. moron.
