@Uhiwaka82 The previous Rhythm heaven games were released for handheld consoles. Releasing it for a home console would make it different, and besides rhythm games are always better if handheld. Not saying that a wii release is bad...its just at least make a port.
@ShujitoDM they actually did change it unfortunately, this video is wrong. you can find a clip of the english version if you look up Rhythm Heaven Fever Air Rally. But everything else seems awesome.
@ShadowriverUB The original stage was just them saying "I love you" in japanese over and over. There wasn't really much the translators could do about that...
Remix 3 sounds phenomenal. Love Rap I'm not crazy about. However, it sounds far better than anything the DS had. I just hope the Karate Joe, Book Club, Credits and Remix 6, 7, 8, 9 songs sound good.
The Karate Man sounds different! And yeah, guys, it is just in the solo part (without singing), but it does indeed sound different, so it might just be a more powered up version without singer?
This version of Air Rally is the Japanese one. They translated the voice of the cat. And you can't see a "you" sign, but I think they haven't added it yet...
@herbachacha According to a new Iwata Asks interview, the Manzai endless game was replaced due to being impractical to localize efficiently. It's replaced with a game called "Mr. Upbeat."
Karate man without singing is terrible...and ring side seemed plain, i usually love english version of games more but something about this one seems off
i skipped around a bit. i cant stand remix 3, that japanese lady singing was so annoying i had to play that remix on mute, so i didnt wanna hear the english one either
@SHlNOBl3 If you hate a Japanese woman's singing, then it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for you to use that as a reason not to see the Remix 3 in this video, considering the singer would be an English speaker. It IS an English trailer, after all.
I don't understand the complaints either. Of course they localized it for America, and of course its not still in Japanese. Its still a great looking game, and they did a good job in there localization.
(i.e., the English script is both a translation of the original and has enough changes to make it something an English speaker would actually say.)
I don't get the gripe that it is in English. This game is from the creators of a perhaps even more Japanesey game in Warioware and it was brilliant in English. This game will be no different.
@Shippoyasha The intelligent argument for keeping the original vocals is similar to the argument for subtitled anime.
When the vocals are deeply integrated in the gameplay as in, for example, Romantic Rap, it makes some people feel uneasy to use replaced voices for the sake of localization.
Oh. That's a shame. I think Japanese suits the game a lot better since it's in such a Japanese style. It doesn't really make sense for it to be in English.
The Music rhythm in Karateka Man is a bit different...the first time you hear the Air Rally gameplay it has the original JP audio, but then changes at Remix 3. "Double Up" in the Pest game has NO "yellow exclamation" logo behind the text...
Cant blame the rest, specially Love Rap wich, for now, keeps up the similar voices of the JP version but in US way...
Now to hear the other languages ! XD..definetly going to buy this whenever it comes to spain..
@TheAnimeGeek That's the sentiment of a lot of people. I didn't mind the DS dub, so I was wondering why other people had such a big problem with it? Just wondering.
@thephoenixisright The main problem the fans had with the DS Rhythm Heaven is that they felt that the singing was flat and lifeless. I sorta agree, sorta don't.
@thephoenixisright Yeah, it actually probably would've been better that way. Maybe not. 11 year old girls wouldn't get their pose from their favorite wrestler.
@NupidStiggers They usually have an instruction video before the game, as opposed to telling you what to press as it happens. It's up to you to remember what to press, and if you can't, you can always watch the instructions, again.
@NupidStiggers The whole game uses the A button or the A and B button only. Depending on what game you are playing. But most of the time you use the A button only. The developers wanted to keep this game as simple as possible.
I really like the dubbing so far and the videos on the official site are hyping me up. The only things that bug me so far is Love Rap and the audio cues they got for Figure Fighter/Muscle Doll. The former I'm giving the benefit of the doubt though since all we've heard is the original Japanese so of course it's gonna sound off and the latter isn't that big of a deal anyway. A huge improvement over the DS if you ask me.
I think the Japanese versions of the things shown here are better. The singer for I Feel Fine doesn't sound quite right and the photographers that say "pose for the fans" aren't enthusiastic enough. Wubba dubba dub izzat true ain't great either. Love Rap is probably the best of the lot, but I still prefer the original.
