Just work hard to perfect your craft..

  • this is a very beautiful video love the ending!!

  • This made me cry. I stopped relaxing my hair Nov 2010 and I vow to teach my fiance and I's children to love themselves. Sesame Street has even gotten in on being natural.

  • I hope you do more videos like these.

  • search bolder gazet van antwerpen

    pretty afro 0,24

  • "Let them get mad. They're going to hate anyway, don't you get that? It doesn't matter if you go along with their plan. They'll never be happy because they're not happy with themselves,"- That quote is so true. It describes every mean girl or bully that I've ever encountered.

  • OMG! I love this video. This is so helpful, because coming from my heat trained world. I know all my options for styling. Now that I am attempting 100% natural, it feels limiting on the style options. But I see now that the options are limitless. Thank you for your videos! Please subscribe to mine, I would love your input on my hair. Cheers!

  • love this video

  • I want that "Colored" t-shirt at 5:51 so bad! Please, somebody reply if you know where to find it!

  • I loooooove this video, and the song was so fitting! I've been natural for over 10 years and I NEVER regretted it. I'm just glad that it is catching on the way it is, and that we are accepting ourselves as we are. I kept my fingers crossed waiting to see Jill Scott in there, but I was happy just to see N'Dambi and Goapele. I love my hair, I love my skin, I LOVE ME!!!!!...and I'ma work what I got, lol!

  • I LOVE IT!!!!! SO INSPIRING! THIS MAKES ME REALLY PROUD TO BE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN! WE ALL BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN QUEENS!

  • wow, think I saw Nerissa Irving in there, beautiful!

  • omg i kow one of those women in this video lol but this video makes me feel confident and proud to b black

  • This video has helped me further realize that my big lips, hips thighs, curves, and afro is good enough. I'm beautiful the way I am. I love being a black woman....its so empowering! GAWSH!

And if anyone disagrees they're just jealous of our natural beauty. Nuff said. <3

  • Thanks for this video Nap, I was almost giving up on this journey.

  • Love it! We are beautiful...we waste so much time comparing ourselves to others when in reality we each hold a unique beauty that can not be matched! Keep encouraging us sis! God bless

  • never in my life have i realize how blessed i was to be part of such greatness.i knew there is and has always been an awesome GOD but I had always thought that we as african culture people were at the bottom of the pot when it came to good hair! I now know from this video along with so many others I've seen that we are the most blessed ones. It's at the bottom of the container where all the good ingredients end up at,for the product to work effectively it has to be shaken with the others. Thanks!

  • does anybody know where i can get the the picture at 0:44, i wanna show it to my stylist.

  • @prettyjaye18 I use SnagIt software for screen captures but you could always take a pic with your phone. I like that one too! =)

  • @prettyjaye18 Can you pause the video, do a "print screen", save as pdf and print?

  • @Babygyrl624 mmm, its worth a try, thanks!

  • black women least attractive race?= BULL!! chocolate,ebony,bronzed,caramel skin,kinks,curls,waves,hair of a queen and lioness,full lips = we're HOT!!!!

  • @hotties3v3n yes we r i kno thats right

  • @hotties3v3n I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!

  • @hotties3v3n Yesssssssss we are!!!

  • @hotties3v3n- There is no "least attractive" race in my opinion. Supposedly, Black women and Asian men are the least attractive- but I beg to differ.

  • Great video! Thx!!

  • This was a beautiful compilation of photos of beautiful natural women. I loved it! big props to my sister who has decided over two years ago to be natural and beautiful. She has been relaxer-free ever since and her hair is just beautiful and wild. She recently was finally able to cut off all the relaxed hair and now it is natural from roots to tip. As for me, its hard to let go, I do love myself but I like to be able to straighten my hair and wear it wild so I relax it like 3 times a year.

  • All shades of Black girls with afro's are super sexy. Especially the big bouncy fro's.

  • I love that you included women of ALL shades! Because we are all beautiful!

  • I like this, This styles make me want to take out my weave. And wear my fro out but I wait a lil longer. lol

  • I still want a weave.

  • I'm absolutely in love with this video!!!

  • screw the people who dont like this video,to all those who like it you guys and Naptural185 you guys really really rock

  • @GoinBack2Naija Thats Goapele!,i love that pic of her too! all these ladies look ahhh!!-mazing.

  • why r u tryin' to make me go natural.........again!

  • i mean i've never thought about how beautiful we can be and because i recently started straightning my hair i've been sadder about it than when it was wild and natural. this is the best example of work what what you've got. I love this video and as a 12 year old it's usual for me to be what They want me to be. I guess it's up to me right?

  • Beautiful video! I think we as black women need something like this to uplift us. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in society's crap. Thank you!!!

I'm sure she saw herself in some of the pics. Thanks!

  • Beautiful and encouraging.

  • society has continuously tried to brainwash natural beauty. Im happy that most of us are not ashamed of our color, hair, shape, attitude, and gifts! Love the video...it shows no matter what shade you are Black is beautiful!! Embrace that hair!!!

Side note....hair has its own attitude and black women have been holding it back for far too long...Ethnic hair is so fierce and bold!!!.let it out! Its part of us! hahahaaha

  • This is real beauty!!! It's not made up, bleached, plastic-ed, fake beauty. Black women are naturally beautiful. None of these images are fake. I agree with solebol. TV and magazine images have so many brainwashed as to what standard of beauty is. I looooove being me! We really are beautiful people.

  • light skin girls with afros is hot

  • Absolutely LOVE this video! Pictures, song, and the inspiration at the end. Thanks so much for compiling and sharing! :)

  • I remember looking at women's hair that was "curly" and thinking I wish my hair could do that!! They alway's looked so fierce, confident and Gorgeous...Well now since so many have shared the secret that we all can have beautiful hair I'm embracing every curl that I thought I never could have! thanks for this video, it's still appreciated even 2 yrs. later and I'm sure for many yrs. to come.

  • LOVE IT!

  • The shirt at 5:51 is sooo bold I love it.

And I like that you had Judith Jamison on there a couple times, she's awesome (one of my dance teachers used to dance with Ailey so they're a big inspiration for me)

I love that you made the effort to find real unique people and styles, not just the same girl-in-her-bathroom-with-the-same-old-afro-puff shots that some people make these 'inspiration' videos with (not that there's anything wrong with those, they're trying but there's not much variety)

  • @Kaiya382 I was thinking the same thing about that shirt. But I would rock it.

  • i feel inspired...black is so beautiful :')

  • Lol the only thing i know how to do is curl, straighten and bantu knot my hair =(

  • its a beautiful video but it is over 200 pictures, not over 200 different hairstyles... i agree with LaMasChever22

  • i want yarn braids :'(

  • mashaAllah

  • @bigteina i believe her name is T'Keyah Crystal Keymah? she played the mom in That's so Raven and has acted a few other roles :P
