  • do you know any of the programming codes? I have a vista 20p and I am trying to add a 6150rf keypad

  • What do you use trouble for?

  • How did you get the panic button to go into trouble?

  • Adt is louder

  • @mattarmani Not necessarily. ADT installs many different brands of security systems, including this one (note that ADT does not make security systems -- they only install, maintain, and monitor them). So it really depends on which brand system they install.

  • @buhaw12 ADT doesn't monitor you. They out source that to someone across the country in there basement.

  • @mattarmani i dont have adt and my alarm is damn loud

  • is that alarm houct up to the center???? lol

  • we just saw your alarm code

  • @mitchyere2k8 And we just saw how much your statement is wrong.

  • If you were to put the system into Test mode, would the panic buttons be disabled?

  • How'd you get that 'trouble' sound out of a panic button?

  • I temporarily (for the video) programmed that button as a "Trouble by day/alarm by night" zone type. Panic buttons are normally programed as some type of "24-hour alarm" zone type.

  • Also, why didn't you press the fire button and get the fire sound out of that for the video? Is that system programmed to dial 911 if you press the fire button?

  • I was too lazy to disconnect the siren for the video, which would have gone off had I pressed the fire button. The system was not monitored at the time of the video, so it would not have called 911.

  • So is the medical panic programmed as a "24-hour auxillary" alarm?

  • Correct -- no siren only keypad alarm, and call to the central station if so programmed.

  • I thought that if the system was monitored the signal was sent to the same place reguardless, and the monitoring station was told by the machine if it was a burglar or fire alarm, then called you FIRST to make sure it wasnt a false alarm and if you didn't call it off properly THEN they dialed 911 and reported whatever the alarm said

  • No, at least not with this system. The alarm's programming determines what is sent, how it is sent, and when it is sent. To the user of a monitored (alarm-company installed) alarm, however, it appears the way you describe because they generally control and maintain the alarm's programming. The user is often locked out from programming mode, and the alarm company can reprogram it remotely if needed.

  • As for whether 911 is dialed before or after calling the responsible party, that is completely up to the alarm company and the user. It is commonplace with home alarms to call the homeowner prior to dispatching police (for burglary signal), but to dispatch the fire department (for a fire signal) prior to calling the homeowner.

  • 12341 is his password lets go break in !

  • Good luck with that...

  • What Vista is that?

  • 10P

  • i just bought ademco 20p alarm system and i fell alot more safer now and i even put a fire alarm with built in chime pleaes write back
