@drakonepl well, seems to me joe tried to go with fashions to be noticed a little,i mean there's a video in '91 where he dresses like he's in pearl jam lol
@lakajd well, I saw the video too. It seem to me that being in this business always will put some pressure to go with fassion - maybe I'm wrong. At the end of the day the sound is the most importatn thing ;)
Imagine if Jimi Hendrix were still alive today and they were playing side by side! Joe reminds me so much of Hendrix with the feeling he displays, while he plays. Satriani......there can be only 1 !!!
Man I have to say this. Ive been listening to rap/jazz most of my life but have recently been discovering music like this. This is absolutely incredible man. Wish I would have discovered music like this years ago, I feel like Ive been missing out now.
6:58 How does Joe do that bend effect, it sounds amazing I have heard him do it on the ''Satriani Live'' version of ''One Robot's Dream''. I also love the screaming harmonic at the end, it sounds so incredible.
joe played this song, 10 feet from me. in calgary alberta on january 5th. this man has changed my life. i view music differently now, and my fingers are developing wicked caluses because i havent stopped shredding since. thank you joe. you are by far my biggest inspiration!! X)
If only you could have seen Dimebag literally a couple of feet away back during the Vulgar Display of Power album tour. Being able to see him playing note for note was as good as it gets. I felt like I was getting my free guitar lesson just as the band was getting free weed tossed onto the stage:)) Satch+EJ together when EJ was not known was also spectacular being close enough;) Bless the world for the famous and infamous great musicians!
Joe Satriani helped design my gazebo in the late 80s.
While he was busy doing that...
STU HAMM fixed my car, cleaned my gutters, planted some trees, mixed some concrete, cooked a BBQ, shot some guns, mowed the lawn, fed the horses, rewired my stereo, and helped assemble the kid's playground.
Too many good parts in this song and obviously a perfect song from start to finish, but that 4 minute bending was just pure explosion within the context prior to and after.
He just played this in Vancouver on fridAy, it was great. The whole concert was unreal!! Andelusia was really good too and summer song!! Well for that matter so was ice 9 and always with me always with you!! Everything was awesome, what a concert!!! :)
you little fagot, jealous wannabee...where r u...gimme your address so i can fuck your wife and kill your kids....while you watch...then ill cut your fingers off and make you eat them..then bash your face in...i wont need no gang...your the pussy that comments and runs away..and your lame threats..your mexican gang wants you dead too...
Why you ask.?? It's because he failed to pay me for fucking his POS lady.
@onraj9mm Hey....he's going to!! Did some research, and "Memories" is on his "play list" for the Worm Hole Tour....going to Boston on 12/09/10 !! LOnG-time fan....Satch is the MASTER....... Greetings from Cape Cod!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for...the stripped down trio of Joe, Stu, and Jonathan only! This music in the late 80's brings back so many memories for me (no pun intended). This really was the best time of my life and Joe helped make it so.
The new decade of fans marvel at his hair and colors....... and joke about the guy making love to his guitar. The rest of us remember shows, or sorta remember shows and chuckle.
@MapleLeafAce Stu Hamm..mostly yeah. But Stu kinda works with everyone. He did most or all the bass on Passion and Warfare (Vai) and I think on Flex-able too.
the guy saying it is a cover band needs to be publicly shot. and angus absolutly sucks compared to him. you have to be joking, those 2 are not even in the same ball park
@donottawaguitar Wait a minute. I checked out your channel and you're a guitar player. You actually believe that Angus and Jimmy Page are better guitarists than Satch???? Unbelievable.
