My partner had difficulties with bodyweight for quite a number of time now and she found a number of so known as DietOramy food regimen (google it) - she's had quite a accomplishment with it so far, and doctor says she is healthful as by no means prior to...
What sold me on Low Carb eating was that the same issues that they contribute to being overweight and obese, can be accredited to high insulin levels. Thus, I've come to believe and maintain that fat is a sympton and not a problem. Also, they changed the structure of what is fat.
@ericaj58 By the way, since reading Taubes' latest book I've become much more understanding of fat people. I also watched this vid at the FatHeadMovie channel:
Wow...excess weight makes people look old. Stephen Talbot looks at least 10 years older than my dad in this video....but he was only 55, and my dad's 58.
I watched all five segments. This was extremely informative.I am a diabetic and have found that that bacon and egg breakfast helpful. Some points to think about. Cooked food is dead food,so don 't cook your meat too much or your veggies.Do Not COMBINE PROTEIN and CARBS at the same meal EVER. To do so puts a strong drain on your digestive system. And Please walk as much as you can.
@aluisious Humans have only been around for ~100 thousand years... You must be referring to our primitive ancestors. We evolved for a reason, don't go back!!!!
@1imesub Humans have been around longer than that. You're thinking of homo sapien, maybe. Our "primitive ancestors" were still certainly human. Homo erectus is thought to have cooked its food as well.
@aluisious Well, if you go back a few million years, "humans" were living and eating like other great apes, a diet of ~99% fruits/veggies. The claim that we evolved to eat meat is unfounded and false. The evidence tells us that we evolved to eat starches like tubers and grains. We know this based on the high amount of amylase (starch digesting enzyme) produced in our saliva and gut. Early humans ate meat to buffer against starvation, not because it was healthy.
@youteesdotnet He also happened to kill himself after being diagnosed with cancer. I'm sure he probably had other problems as well. His diet may have been 1 small factor.
Exactly BMI is junk, if you have muscle, it counts it as fat, god im 5 7 and it wants me down to 163, well I friggin lift, for 20 years, if i wanna be 163 which is the top of healthy just before fat i'd have to be 6% bodyfat
@vigilantezack It works fine for people who don't lift weights though, overall. It's not perfect, but it's a decent barometer of where you want your weight to be. Obviously, body fat % is a much better option, but it's more difficult to measure.
@vigilantezack BMI is hilarious. I used to lift weights so I am heavier than I would otherwise be (165 lbs, 5'8"). My doctor had me stand on a scale, then looked at the chart, and said I was overweight.
I couldn't believe he was looking right at me and saying it. If he had tried to grab fat rolls anywhere on my body, it would be impossible, yet his chart was telling him I was "overweight."
Watch "Fathead" and lift the veil of misinformation from your eyes.

@RustyIronloins I know, we should go by body fat percentage instead of BMI
