  • There Is NO god... religion is a myth. Just read Plato and the Bible and compare which is written by a greater mind. There is no comparison... Plato is superior in every way possible.

  • 'Free-choice' do not exist.

Equality is the foundation of which all things under the sun are linked, thus like the sun our world institution(s) must be designed to provide for all equally to live a life with dignity. Visit equal money dot org for practical ('real') solutions

  • Church and State - self interested collectives. Christinaty is the importance and the focus - Else we are lost - Dont loose your shephered for a shepdog

  • Americans made holocaust of Indians. They were protestants not catholics. Even they were protestants and not atheists they did it. Now atheists are making holocaust of unborne children but some sick Christians are helping them. Do you listen to God: do not kill? Jesus is the truth.

  • A better reading of R. Williams vis-a-vis his immersion in the language of the Wachamachamilla Tribe of Eastern RI is to be found in Lowe (1998), Miltman and Farze (1988) and Burns and Allen (1957).

  • Well, a question that arises here: what is the role of religion in making determination? Does it bound one's action, or make it endless? I fear that if a religion allowes a person to do whatever he/she thinks, then it is not a religion, it is mere personal " passion". If the religion does't control, guide and enlight the beliver psychologically and emotionally, then it is not the correct religion.

    Regards

  • Religion is by definition nothing spiritual in itself; it is, rather, that 'hard crust of external discipline' (P. Rieff, Triumph of the Therapeutic. Kurzwitz (1987) probes that 'crust' in a manner reminiscent of Pwaber and Goreman (2000, 2001), who discuss the delicacy of 'toppings' postulated by Boomer and Loud (1990) in their post-structural re-reading of the later London monographs of Anna Freud and the private correspondence between Foucault and Jerry Falwell.

  • I talked to this lady the other day on the phone at work. She must have problems and treated my like I was a slave. I have never been treated by anyone so horribly like this woman treated me over that five minute phone call.

  • Seek therapy.

  • Yeah no kidding, Dan. This lady does need therapy.

  • @ibar3734 Really? I emailed her the other day, and she was extremely kind and generous in her reply, while also giving me sound advice regarding my studies in philosophy...

To take that kind of time out of her schedule to respond to someone whom she need not have, I think, is extremely telling of her generous character.

  • @contemplativegirl21 I made that comment about a year ago but I do remember that she called the office I was in and asked for the person she specifically needed. I said, "Okay, mam, give me just one moment and I will see if she's available." Right after that she stopped me and told me that I must address her as doctor and chewed me out about it for about five minutes.

  • @contemplativegirl21 I don't know why buy then she went on about her heritage and how she was proud to be a Jew. I am glad she's proud of her heritage but it usually isn't the best time to tell someone your religious background after making a bad impression. I'm sure with all her knowledge on philosophy she would have some idea about first impressions. But no matter, I was unimportant to her anyway.

  • Why is Martha so nervous and harsh speaking? - I think it was not her day!

  • "The rule and measure of duty is not utility, nor expedience, nor the happiness of the greatest number, nor State convenience, nor fitness, order, and the pulchrum. Conscience is not a long-sighted selfishness, nor a desire to be consistent with oneself; but it is a messenger from Him who both in nature and in grace, speaks to us behind a veil, and teaches and rules us." -- John Henry Newman

  • Wow. Totally awesome, dude.
