I thought it was illegal to own an endangered species? You even list it in your tags. These birds are still listed on the endangered species and should be turned over to a zoo or other such origination for protective breeding and conservation of the species. These birds are highly treated by deforestation and illegal capture for sale on the black market.

@Ducko123456789 It's nearly impossible for a private owner to get one such permit they are typically only offered to sanctuaries and not private ownership. In the US at lest. I read into it and judging by the U.S. Fish and wildlife Endangered Species Program. Even ownership of most raptor is difficult to own even when they are not on the threatened species list.

This parrot is protected under Appendix I of CITES, sale and possession are prohibited.

It is shameful that people have engaged in wild birds should be in nature, where they play an ecological role.

If you want to buy birds canaries, zebra finches, society finch or parakeet, that is, domestic birds.

@aluco41 birds born and bred in captivity are no better then people domesticating cats and dogs over thousands of years- technically those birds you mentioned are mostly in cages for their entire lives, rotting in nursing homes for the soul purpose for them to create a song to captivate their owners. With regards to parakeets, theyr the most reliable domesticated bird as of far, but parrots can be enjoyable pets. I own an orange-winged amazon for almost 6 years, and she love me :) haha

@Kadaver30 Actually, Mango has a macaw cage (which is extremely large for her size) and she loves it and she is a very happy parrot. We raised her from a baby and she is out and about all the time. When she gets sleepy at night she has a little tent in her cage that she loves to sleep in.

Absolutely adorable. Golden is my dream bird but they are 6000 dollars here. Just a side note, much more pleasurable to watch if the tv was turned down.
