  • Jerry would of nailed that guy..he was right.

  • Ok..maybe Jerry is the crazy guy that use this little girl to find the psycho killer. But let just say if Jerry doesn't know this girl at all,it could be worse, theres a big possibility tht this little girl might be the next victim tho

Damn i hate this movie ending! why?!!

  • Excellent, excellent movie !

  • FAIL

  • it's the movie of the book the pledge by friedrich dürrenmatt, right?

don't want to read the book so the movie is much better i think^^

  • I thought the ending sucked! It was a good movie and had potential but the ending was Lousy.

  • best part is when he opens the church's door, great movie anyway.

  • it's not as exciting as it seems here..

  • i was in this!

  • I saw the German movie and the end is different. I'm a bit surprised that Fritz Lang allowed it to happen. I still don't know which one I prefer.

But it's a bit shocking that nobody in the movie thinks the protagonists actions are morally despicable.

  • @MochaeMoepfli On the contrary, Jack Nicholson said in an interview for the film that he thought Jerry was a the definition of 'The rod to hell is paved with good intentions'. He uses the daughter to lure his prey in, ruining his chance of a normal, happy life. Even though The Wizard was real, he acted selfishly to prove himself right.

  • this looks much better than the boring german book

  • @Romanitotix99 its not a german book, its a swiss book . dude get some education !!!!!!!

  • @nebilism1 German and Swiss are to be spelled with capital letters, like I just did. Dude, get an education!

  • @nebilism1

lol im so sorry man, you fucking smart ass. its been written by a swiss author but the language is german you idiot.

  • @Romanitotix99 I find Russian literature really hard going.

  • jerry was right about the killer the whole time.

  • It's now running on my TV.

  • nicholson's acting was great, but the ending gives you with such a sad feeling!... there is no release for the viewer...

  • @dezmpo Exactly. You are right on.

  • I've read the book. It was awesome although sad.

I want to watch the movie version but I can't stand the sadness.

  • the pledge is based upon the film (Es geschah am hellichten Tag) from Friedrich Dürrenmatt. This movie was made in Switzerland in the late 1950s and is far more scary and frightening than the pledge. I live in Switzerland and the film was made in the area where I live so after having seen this movie or I should rather say horrorfilm I couldn't sleep for months because it was that shocking, blood freezing and terrible for me.

  • This movie came on today but i missed the beginning & ending. -___- seemed good tho'

  • This movie was awful!

When you make Jack Nicholson and Benicio Del Toro BOTH look bad on film, your movie sucks.

  • The Book is AMAZING!!!

  • i was in this!

  • Yeah, I was...No, I had no idea who he even was! I had no idea he was famous. My parents told me about him after because they didn't want to make me nervous.
