This is what I call a desperate attempt at "news". I still have to see those eyesores every day. Canadians have a fetish for non-domestic cars. There are people that actually choose to outright ignore recalls and act like it doesn't even exist. One woman over reacting to a company's problem isn't something that I would call news worthy. In California, there's never gonna be a shortage of those turds on the road anyway.
the way i see it return the safe car to the dealer and go die in a coffin car. haha. hyundai is really not that reliable as far as the media says. they also have those issues.
2011 Hyundai Sonata door lock problem: the front inside door lock switches can remain in the unlatched position under certain conditions, making it possible for the front driver or passenger doors to open while the vehicle is in motion.
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata has defective door locks. Hyundai quietly suspended the sale of the Sonata in the U.S. in their feeble attempt to avoid the bad publicity of a recall.
@Sarah01181225: Ok, so nobody has ever died in a Hyundai, right Sarah? Do me a favor, get in your car, acclerate to 65MPH and then floor it. Next, shift into netural and see how fast you slow down. The sudden accleration claim is almost laughable, people simply can't drive in America.
@Sarah01181225 If you believe that CNN story, then you're truly naive. You realize Hyundai's have the same electric acclerators as do nearly all new cars, don't you? I'm willing to bet they're made by the same company.
@Sarah01181225 As for people dying...they're too dumb to have common sense. Do what I said, floor you car at 65MPH, acclerate to 80MPH and shift into netural with the gas pedal floored. Your engine will bounce off the rev limiter, and the car will coast and slow down. This Toyota story is prue non-sense, it's another government money and power grab.
@dragasoni Admit it. And suck it up. This Toyota trouble was a good warning to every car. It can happen to any car. The lady in the video maybe got frustrated. It was her choice. Who cares!
@Sarah01181225: Also, believe me when I tell you Hyundai is not immune to recalls. Sorry Sarah, but you fail at logic, and at life as well. Maybe you and EliteSlayer542 should get to together, you idiots are perfect for one another. You can't even think of an original YouTube handle, gotta use your name and add 15 numbers to it, LOL.
@dragasoni Your retarded. Do a little research before posting shit like that. Hyundai is defiantly BETTER than Toyota. Most of auto industry realized this years ago.
Why do think Hyundai is doing so well? They've sky rocketed in sales, quality ratings and RELIABILITY ratings. They are better that Toyota with no doubt.
Yes yes... coincidence... ABC were there while the woman went to give the Toyota back... I can't imagine how much Hyundai paid... hahaha. Ridiculous video

Only a fool would trade a Toyota for a Hyundai. Remember, "Hyundai" stands for Hope You Understand Nothing Is Drivable & Inexpensive
