This was the first ever song I converted from CD to MP3 :-) I heard it and had to have it back in 1994 or 5. I converted it at work and took it home on a huge pile of floppy discs as an mp3 :-) I bought all their albums and subscribed to Clenbuterol. I love Saint Etienne!

And please, get to know french artists, some of them are really good, like Sebastien Tellier, Noir Désir, Daho, Alain Bashung,...and Gainsbourg of course. To finish, yes they got their name from the french football team who ruled the french league in the 70's.

I doubt that that is where they got the name from ! St Etienne is a shithole in France (which is very rare) - a particularly uninteresting town, a bit south of Lyon. Not a place you would live in, unless you had no choice. Like Middlesborough, but 10 times more pleasant.
