  • this is not a result from a dam break this is a vid which as posted in national geography about flood!! i saw it!

  • Sir, you will be levied a luxury tax because your house is now a houseboat...

  • I had a 90mi drive home that day, it was a lot of fun.

  • Better be damn " no pun intended" sure your boat doesn't stall out or your fuct big time.

  • Where not to build your McMansion.

  • haha jks

  • Think of it this way the house behind them have a waterfront house now :P

  • Actually, Neuman's dam is downstream from where this breach happened. This is closer to the site of Dawn Manor I think.

  • omg i feel so bad for those home owners

  • Comment removed

  • blows your mind how that water just ate away the land those 2 houses were sittin on.....

  • Hmmm. Dats alot of water.

  • nice house boat.

  • I would have said "GOD DAMNIT!" then "sorry"

  • Now just imagine that about a10 miles wide instead of a hundred meters wide, wiping out your entire city. D:

  • DAMN excusse the pun

  • waterfront property anyone!

  • *Plays Requiem for a Dream*

  • Luxury houseboats for hire.

  • BREAK THE DAM RELEASE THE RIVER!!!!!

  • That's right, work against nature and have it coming back. We're all gonna end up fucked.

  • i bet the people in the house are like, hmmm did someone leave the door open i can feel a draft.

  • 3 out of 4 house drownings could be avoided by adequate fencing around your bursting dam.

  • rich bitch die

  • Housie wanna swim!

  • hmmmm i guess its one way to relocate

  • NO NO NO!!! Stop the rumors that people were in the house!!! There were no people in this home when it slid into the flood. Reuters and the AP covered this event extensively when it happened in 2008 and no one died. Everyone was given enough time to evacuate, and they did, so stop you're crazy theories. What you see at :24 is simply the inside of the house breaking apart.

  • @caleab27 you're wrong

  • @caleab27 ohhh ok, yip the inside of house must have white t shirt and legs...shit, thats kinda out of it.

  • I hope those two people in the house at :24 were able to swim out and live.

  • wow thats really cool

  • nothing is more powerful than water

  • @gordonS2 chuck noris dhu!

  • @xwampax

    You got that right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Plug the dam hole!!!!" B.H.Obama

  • I remeber this, my yard was flooded completly

  • This is why I wonder why people want to live by rivers like this. It's just asking for trouble.

  • coal river mountain?

  • DAYUM NATURRE, U SCARREE

  • DAAAAM!

  • so jimmy why didn't you do your homework this time? and no stupid awnsers.

    jimmy: house went bye bye

  • Amazing! It was not a dam or levy that broke. This was just the land between the lake and the Illinois river its flowing into. Rain for days soaked and weakened the sand based land until it finally gave way. The houses were 200 yards away from the lake... people thought it was safe.

    Go figure.

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAM!!!!!!!!

  • Trust me that whole naighbor hood was evacuated

  • holy shit you can see people in the house look at 24 seconds in there is two and it looks like they jump into the water

  • dam that shit is like half a million

  • hmmmmm...... yup. that sure does suck.

  • How big WAS this lake? I am going to Google earth it. What was the cause of the collapse

  • Floods suck. I hope none of them floaties were people.

  • mobile home anyone

  • Shit...

    Was everyone OK?

  • I was there when this happened. I was just off to the left of the camera in the woods taking a shit. When I came back, the lake was gone. You can probably imagine how shocked I was.

  • I hope the shit made you feel a lot better.Maybe even look better.

  • i bet the dude on the boat was thinking holy shit

  • @sploosh56 No doubt. I bet he was also thinking :Gee, I hope my motor doesn't quit on me!" - scarry stuff

  • @sploosh56 why would he be thinking about shit or even holy shit when he is about to die

  • @sploosh56

He thought: Take me back to Six Flags! It's not for pussies!

  • that house did seem well built. i sure hope they had insurance

  • SHIT!

  • that first house seemed really well built. it went all in one piece. kudos builders of that home!

  • well thats a real easy way to move outta wisconsin...dont have to pack either!

  • you can see 2 people running, still inside the house at 0:24!!

  • The Homeowner of the house still standing @ 24, and his neighbors were the people who shot this video.

  • glad to be wrong! sure looked like people though. incredible footage nonetheless!!

  • So this is a video of his neighbors dying?

  • oh my god...i saw it too...do u think it human??

  • @willw1981 its a passing window

  • @willw1981 looks like people but it's windows on the other side i believe.

  • @willw1981 ive looked like 10 times and couldnt.

  • @willw1981 yeah u r right...

  • @willw1981 - I think those are just reflections in the window. They appear to run across because the house rotating.

  • @willw1981 No. That's the light coming through the rear window as the house rotates.

  • as someone who hits the dells about every other year this hit me hard. but its not the first time this happened here and it probalby wont be the last.

  • Man that's terrible just goes to show us that event's in this world are taking back control of the earth!

  • lol, don't think so hippie.

  • LOL man im a long way from a Hippie im from south east Alabama (Sweet Home Alabama) :)

  • Yeah HIPPIE.

  • Does make you wonder: does insurance cover that? I'm sure the adjuster would say,, "Hey, it was a flood, you don't have flood insurance. " But, technically, it was NOT a flood.

  • This isn't a dam breaking and no there were no people in the houses.

  • been looking for this footage FOREVER. Is this the very beginning? Has anyone seen anything closer to when the event began?

  • thats insane how if people were in that house they wouldnt know what the hell was goin on.

  • damnn, that's scary.

  • haha they have a houseboat now!!!!

  • Actually it wasn't the dam that broke. The lake breached to the north of the dam, taking with it part of Highway A which runs from Baraboo to Dells/Lake Delton.
