Your lessons have been great! I've forgotten most of my Hoishan Wah when a teacher in grade school told our class that it was un-American to speak another language other than English. I would like a lesson in asking questions a doctor may ask, and sample responses. I recently had trouble translating into questions for my parents.
Thanks for the tutorial, I am trying to teach words to nonchinese speaker. I speak this dialect for the most part, there are words that are slightly different, but totally understandable. Nice job, you can help the videos with better audio. All in all, this has been the best I've found ,
i know im spelling this wrong but is tis taishanese te same language that toy sang people call toysang?? i need to know. and again the spelling is off. thanks
Taishanese is a Cantonese Chinese dialect. It is pronounced as Hoi san Wah by the local people, Toi San Wah by Guangzhou or Hong Kong people, and Tai Shan Hua by Mandarin speakers.
Taicheng is the downtown of Taishan city. It is pronounced by locals as Hoi Seng, Toi Seung by Guangzhou or Hong Kong people, and Taicheng by Mandarin speakers.

english written translations are a little off. However, I love hearing these videos. In a lot of ways i think they help to validate our language! =)
