if you keep a record of when you call and how many times and tell them when you call that's when they'll send you things. otherwise their just dumb and like oh do all these things that you've already done 100 times and still haven't worked. you just have to let them know how often you have to call in to get things fixed. that's what I did.

internet providers are a mysterious bunch. I had a guy out to fix an intermittent problem. He replaced a connection, seemingly at random. It didn't fix the problem. It stopped sometime later. I suspect the issue was on their end, but they would never admit it.

Aha. Watch it not be your router at all. They told me that once when I was on the phone trying to fix it with them, and eventually I gave up, went to the nearest store with it, asked them to look at it, and they told me it was the power cord. Worked like a charm afterwards!
