The same reggae-like beats, just another bpm. Its not a big difference

i undestand what you are saying but something has to be together before you can slice it mate.they have totally different points of origin and are at least a decade apart from each other.

dnb is an offshoot of early rave culture,dubstep came from the grime and garage scene,because the genres overlap in style (ten years on) through natural expansion and evolution of the genre,it does not make them one in the same thing.
