wow, good info but WAY TOO FAST! I've never heard of Squidoo nor it's purpose so it was unchartered territory for me. I had to watch it twice and pause it here and there to really see the section she was talking about and what she actually did.
I agree, way to fast and brief. How many times is acceptable to link back to your own blog? I've got 3 links back from the text module alone... is this acceptable? Michelle???
This video was TOO fast. Did you had a train to catch? You wizzed through all the functions at neck-breaking speed. Some of us had never heard of Squidoo before!
never ever managed to get the link to work for an image I've uploaded when using the boxes provided in a text module - always have to write my own link and image source using html!
everytime I do the RSS the website tells me "Sorry, linking to Squidoo URLs in RSS feeds is not allowed". am I doing something wrong? or is it that the site changed their system?
@rivercah Oh my. I stand corrected. I did find this out the other day and forgot this post was here. Then what's the purpose, may I ask? Not to question you, but in all seriousness? Why have a page of images if no one can use them? Or just some of them?
@yahissalvation Well, I don't have a good answer to that question, but from my own experience I've used google images for numerous searches and purposes. They are not copyrighted for private use (of course). And I've needed the searches for other stuff than private uses as well.
If you need images you could always use stock images, free stocks, or also the commons on flickr. Or take your own photos ;)
I love how Squidoo works and I've formerly created link wheels having Squidoo as my authority page backlinking to my blog. And, what I also like about it is its features to make the lens even more valuable.
If you have a squidoo, search bagel085 and I have three lenses., post a comment if you like the lens

You didn't explain where you got the images. Are they not copyrighted? Nobody ever talks about this.
eagleclaww 1 year ago
@eagleclaww I usually use google images. I don't believe those are copyrighted as they are specifically for your use. You can find anything there.
yahissalvation 1 year ago
@yahissalvation Wrong. Google images are copyrighted unless stated otherwise.

Thought the RSS feed is done via AJAX so it does not pass link juice to your site
