Hey kid its cool... you respected Randy by making this video. If Randy were alive today he would love Youtube and the things surrounding it like the people who make his memory come alive. Thanks again. Peace!
This could quite possibly be the worst song ever recorded. The fact that it is a tribute to the great Randy Rhoads not only doesn't save it, it actually makes it even worse. All involved with this train wreck of a song should die from years of cocaine abuse. Oh wait... 3 minutes ago
@Blutstrupfs Randy would never touch drugs get that in your head why would you think he would do drugs or anything bad for him except cigarettes he smoked that but he wasnt doing stuff like jimi did but jimi idc if he died of an overdose he was a legend to basicly the point im saying is Randy didnt die from an overdose he would hate to do drugs 1 more thing to say.
Randy Formed Quiet Riot and is the original guitarist for this tune..this is him, not fill in Carlos Cavazo after Randy Decided to leave HIS band Quiet Riot...He was a moderate Drinker and Never touched real hard drugs...admittedly he had done coke a few times...but under no circumstances was a heroin addict..You know about as much of Rock history Putztruphfs as my grandmother...

Yeah I feel your pain about loosing Randy Rhoads, but Randy Rhoads didn't play the guitar for this song it was the Mexican born guitar player Carlos Cavazo. Plus who told you that Randy Rhoads didn't do drugs, he was a heroine addict, eventually died of an overdose.
@Blutstrupfs The only thing correct about your statement is who played guitar on this song. Other than that, everything else is BS. Obviously you aren't very bright, when it comes to your knowledge about some rock stars.
@Blutstrupfs You have to be one of the most ignorant people on earth if you think Randy had ANY fault in his death. There are some guitarists and some "rockstars" that might have to play and record to feed their addictions but he was not one of them-he played from his heart and for the love of music! Please tell me your NOT a fan of Randy,Ozzy or Quiet Riot because if you are you really need to research stuff BEFORE you make a complete ass of yourself-which you have btw.
Randy Rhoads died in a tragic plane crash, nit wit. Not only what you say is incorrect but insensitive as well. Kelley Garni, Randy's best friend, shared his feelings with me about his death. Randy's friends and loved ones are missing a part of their soul. They were briefly blessed. I wish I'd known Randy. Shame on you for accusing Randy of dying of an overdose.
Randy's family doesn't deserve rumors like yours tarnishing the memory of their loved one. Have some respect.
@Blutstrupfs he was in a '55 Beechcraft Bonanza F-35 and it crashed and he was burnt beyond recognition. The pilots system had a trace of cocaine but rhoads only showed nicotine. so get your facts straight dude
Not only was Rhoads death no fault of his own, he was perhaps the first rock star to die without a trace of drugs or alcohol in his system. Most young rock stars who die go by way of overdose or reckless indangerment, but not this guy. And that's what makes his death exceptionally sad.
@RitchieBlackmore124 I was pretty much referring to the heavy metal rockers. Being loaded up on drugs and alcohol is pretty much the stereotype for them. So for a guy to be part of that crowd and not be an abuser really shows that he's well above the influence.
its hard to say quiet riot was a one hit wonder with cum on feel the noize when their metal health album was a heavy metal masterpiece. and it was very fitting for kevin to write such a great song about his great friend when the band they started finally made it
and now the world will have to miss Kevin Dubrow .Seen Quiet Riot @ Boulder station. They rocked,Seen Kevin a week later at the airport.I always heard he was @ ahole.turned out to be a nice guy.He died soon thereafter @ a young age.
it's shocking that randy has flown away... where is he now? i really would like to know.. as so many other people. Life sometimes is fucking freaking , don't you think?
I love this song, my Quiet Riot cassette just disapeared from my case one day, man did that suck..Then I was in a thrift store, and there it was, not mine, but a copy, Anyhow great Album ,good post 5*'s
I want to like this but its too bad whoever wrote the lyrics for Quiet Riot's songs was a weak songwriter. I know thats gonna piss someone off but sorry, its true. like I said, I want to like this cause its a tribute, but its weak.
Well the song wasn't written as a tribute to Randy after he died. Kevin wrote the song because Randy left QR to join Ozzy, it;'s just a sad coincidence that Randy died before the song was released. In that context ,the lyrics work fine. "Across the seas" refers to randy going to England to stay with Ozzy.
Randy died in an airplane crash, he was on the plane & the wing clipped the tour bus & it crashed into a garage. RIP Randy, you were a great guitarist
Randy died when I was in junior high in March of 1982. I remember that day my friend and I bawled all day. He influenced Zakk Wylde. I still miss him although I never met him. He was brilliant.
Born in 56 Randy went to the same high school in Burbank Ca, i used to watch Quiet Riot play long before they went Japan in 77 at our local park, places like the Trubadour and the FM station in North Hollywood ,no longer under the same name or managment, Randy's mom Delorus was a music teacher in Burbank a musical family you might say, since Randy was a little older than i he would stop by my friends apartment next to us and practice, i would sit and watch, he taught me some finger runs.
That is an awsome story - to me, learning guitar from him is like learning to fight from Bruce Lee even it was just a few finger runs ... I remember exactly where i was when I heard he died - terrible loss to music - can only imagine what else he and Ozzy could have done
Awsome song too .. classy of them to write this for him
Im keeping this one LOL. Just noticed it so please excuse me if i am late. Back in the day when Randy went to school at burbank high he used to come visit with his school mates and play at the local park, i learned my major chords B-C and D from Randy. Much more now lol but you get the just of it lol. I really appretiate what you have done. Thank you!

@Blutstrupfs yeah he died because of drugs but not his own, it was actually due to the cocaine addiction of the pilot who crashed the plane he was in.
also, everyone remembers Rhoads as a pretty clean guy, and in his own words, "I've no desire to indulge in the rock'n'roll lifestyle."
He just wanted to play guitar, get your facts right.
