Haha. I didn't use Lunar Magic or any similar program. Those programs are what we refer to as "editors" for specific games.
The tools I used were generic ROMhacking tools: WindHex (a hex editor), Geiger's SNES9x (a debugging SNES emulator, for assembly hacking), and xkas (a 65c816 assembler).
I did use two programs made by the same guy, though: Lunar Address (program for the various SNES address types and PC address locations) and Lunar Expand (to expand the size of SNES ROMs).
I've been working on this translation/hack for about two years off and on. It's been mostly a learning experience, as it's the second game I've done assembly-level hacking on.
No, I'm not finished. This video was just done to show that I am capable of inserting dialogue text without breaking anything. As of right now, I need to hack: battle menus, battle messages (including attack names), the item menu, config menu, save menus, and much more. Not to mention I need to translate the script! XD
Final Fantasy IV was my first and will always be my favourite. <3

yeah I checked your website desperately searching for a released version. Your website has 2 scroll bars on it which is a bit odd

@TheDrakon Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my video. The hack is still coming along. You can keep up on news about it when it comes at my website. :D

How does one add a translation patch to a ROM? Seriously, all I want to do is play Final Fantasy IV the way it was MEANT to be played!

This is a great translation. How long did it take you, and are you finished?
