  • I admit that I prefer use RedXIII and Vicnent, but I was really angry when I saw that scene. I only have revenge in my head, it was so... I don't know u.u

  • whenever i listen this song, it could be here in Youtube or playing de game I only thinck one thing: "Why?" but when I was playing I think: "I promise that I'm gona kill you, Sefirot" and in the battle listening this I use all my most poewrful habilities and tecnics, without strategy, only fight with all, looking for revenge

  • Only true ff7 fans call her by the name Aeris.

  • The only reason I cried was because all that grinding was wasted.

Still, it was enough to get me pissed off at Sephiroth.

  • @MrCJHardcore Bah, I never used her if I could avoid it, I hated her style so much.

  • I love it when a game makes a boss that is more emotionally challenging then anything else especially in a moment like this you would be sad and that sadness could potentially make you too angry in such as a way you make a mistake that would cost you the fight

  • :"""(

  • Just think about if someone died very close to you. Your sitting in a open field and just thinking about him or her. =(

  • When your fighting Jenova while this song is playing it's so emotinal. All I wanted to do was cry yet I was fighting for my life, RIP AERIS

  • The only soundtrack fro mthe series that actually brings tears to my eyes and not i na bad way. I wish the new games were as awesome as the older FF series. I remember when i was a kid watching my dad play through all of f7-f10 and loved watching him play now i hope to do the same for my kids. luckily i hae a ps3 and bought the game on the online store so i dont have disk issues,

  • The best song on the game.

  • Beating Jenova with this theme playing in the background was too hard to do. I wanted to cry.

  • @BrickCity4eva

I know I was still in shock over losing Aeris how did the game expect me to recover that quickly

  • why didn't Cloud just use a Phoenix Down on Aries??? O.o

I had like 80 of em' in stock! T.T

  • @lilbuddy106 I had 99!

  • @lilbuddy106 There is a difference between dying and getting knocked out you know.

  • Man, I this track it so sad. I don't know whats worse: her death, the nostalgia, or the fact that final fantasy will never be what it once was.

  • Great memories... FF7 left that print in my mind... Sad ending when she was killed,

I remembered i was playing on my old 1993 tobishia laptop and my dad came up to my and asked my " Why you cryin foo?" and all i did was point at my laptop .. Good times :)

Hopefully if i find the discs and repair that old laptop i'll pass it down to my kids!

  • Water Ring = Can't lose to Jenova.LIFE. Unless, of course, there's something fundamentally wrong with you.

  • my love epic titel from FF7, so im cry for this music in the game.T_T

  • Who else wanted to avenge Aeris but killing Jenova-Life?

  • I Missed Aeris for the rest of the game and compilation. She was so 'odd' and so kind. Reminded me of my sister. It was hard to watch her float to the bottom of that spring.

  • Okay i never liked Aeris much but uk i never saw it coming when she died! But i have to say it definately fueled the tension and i say that the game was even better with it. I was happy that in a story line one of the main characters finally died. In a good story line that is. I don't like all happy endings where everyone lives, it's not realistic.

  • 'Aeris is gone...she will no longer talk,no longer laugh,cry....or get angry...what about us ? what are we suposed to do ? ...what about my pain.my fingers are tintling...my mouth is dry my eyes are burning'

    - Cloud

  • If you didn't cry when Aerith was killed....you have no soul

  • @MrEriklenn I agree, i cried a lot for this sad moment... There was something wrong from the Sleeping Forest to the Forgotten City, a prelude to something bad, and Aeris died... Unforgettable childhood memories with the unmatched FF7, i'm still playing today with this masterpiece... The major part of today videogames are not as good as the old mastepieces of the '90 like FF7 and 8, Resident Evil's survival-horror, Castlevania SOTN, Metal Gear Solid, and so on, period...

  • Aerith: you remember me?

    Cloud: yeah...you are

+ that girl with the flowers

    + that sleazy drunk <-

    + huh?

    it's hard to decide =w=

  • *Forgotten city*

"Uf aeris I finally found you, cloud, leave the fucking sword, wait wait wait a moment what the hell is that thing run aeris run!

  • I don't know about the rest of you, but I always gave Cloud the water-absorption accessory before the JENOVA-LIFE fight. That way, when the other two were down (which I would let happen), he would keep on fighting...

  • i learned to play piano just to play this theme god i love u aerith

  • More than a decade ago, my older brother played FFVII, and I was just watching, as far as I remember. After years I forgot almost everything I saw from this game, but the only scene that remained clearly inside my head was the moment Aerith was murdered by Sephiroth.

Now that I have played this game on my own, I realized how much this scene meant to me. FF7 might not be my favorite game anymore, but at least I find it as the most memorable game to my childhood.

  • Come on and spell "immersion" correctly; it really detracts from your comment when you make such a grotesque error.

  • One word game devlopers of the world, Imerrsion. It doesnt matter how your love interest dies, unless you pull us in, keep us there, and hug us, Before this moment I found Aeris dull, and underpowered. But I still cryed when she died because she loved Cloud, and Cloud loved her back.

  • When this game came out, I went through one heck of a difficult time in my life. This was my only retreat, the only thing that would embrase me, and tell me that I could forget everything, be it only for a short while. And forget I did when this game graced my tv screen. Thank you FF7 - L.J.

  • To me, this song is an end. A terrible loss. And the person your losing is ready. Telling you to live on, strong for them. A soothing goodbye. Farewell.

Reminds me of my mother. R.I.P. Wendy Dorista Dionne.

  • Goddamned weeaboos ruining this game and song for everyone...

  • I remember when I played through this for the first time I got to this point, and the little kid I was, was panicking like crazy I could barely play!

  • I was so glad to have maxed out her Limit Breaks before she died :')

  • i person didnt get any poon-tang from Aeiris @ the Golden saucer before losing her!

  • When (SPOILER ALERT) Sephiroth stabbed Aerith, it didn't really make me tear up as much as I thought it would. However, when I fought Jenova and this played in the background, a manly tear was shed.

  • Shouldn't this amazing, beautiful song have much more views??

  • @x0xchaozdiamond19 yes, i did. haha i was so sad bout cloud and everyone else missing her, and how innocent she was when she looked up into Sephiroth's eyes, then down at his blade, and dropped her Materia (that supposedly did nothing)...and died. so sad. this music is saddening and depressing...

  • Aeris will always be Aeris to me. Fuck Square and their retconning names.

  • @ABitchTookMyName I agree.

  • thumbs up if you got teary eyed when you got to the part where aeris died for the first time?

  • 0:00 I see a bead falling

  • this is so moving and i remeber playing that bit in the game and i almost cry it was so sad this is a f'n masterpliece

  • WHAT A MASTERPIECE!

  • WHAT A MASTERPIECE!

  • this song reminds me why i keep trying to strive to be the best

  • this song is so lovely and sad............i use to cry listening to this song, its like something or some one dear to you is departing, and the song soothes but somewhat bring tears down.................

  • Sometimes its just so hard to believe that..what happened...really...did happen...

  • Man after sephiroth killed her i wanted to FUCK him up soooo bad then fighting Jenova....i think LIFE was soo ironic.....sad sad song still love it alot

  • This tune really got to me when I saw those haunting train scenes where Elmyra waited for her husband, but he never came back. Must've been hard, and that's basically what it was like in WW2 and WW...

  • so sad and pretty, ff7 have the most sad stories than ff10 in my opinion sucks the nicest naive character gets kill lol

  • this game was ahead of its time it was a beautiful game i love Aerith!!!!

  • mp3 please

  • It's Aerith,pls fix it.

  • @TheMostBleedingHeart Actually, the American release version is called Aerith, however, the UK release she was named Aeris in the game.

  • @MadeForKitade um,i think ur making a mistake.

it was Aeris in the American version, too.

i have the PAL version, but im sure the original American version mistakingly called her Aerith too.

they only fixed it in later FFVII media

  • @TheMostBleedingHeart Nope, in the American version she was named Aerith, that is why after FFVII was released information on both Aeris AND Aerith started rolling out on the web, otherwise, how did the other come to be? She only started being named Aerith in the UK for Dirge of Ceberus/Crisis Core, before that in the UK she was always named Aeris, Kingdom Hearts also she was called Aerith from the start for both regions. Aeris was a mistake from translating the JPN version into English (UK)

  • @MadeForKitade You couldn't be more wrong. In the American version, her name was Aeris. This is an error because Japanese people pronounce "th" with an 's' sound. The Japanese romanized her name was "Aerith", but when it was translated in English (in the UK and US), they put Aeris (which is how the Japanese would pronounce it anyway).

They decided to fix this later after bringing the character back in other media (KH, AC, etc).

"...a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"

  • @UltimaLegendX Cookie for pokemon reference?

  • @UltimaLegendX Unless there called crap blossoms

  • @UltimaLegendX awww, i hoped the pronunciation of Aeris as "Aerith" was just a speech impediment that caught on. That crushed my hopes and dreams, but mostly my favorite joke with other ff7 fans lol.

  • @UltimaLegendX actually, her name is mostly important pronunciation-wise. it's a pun on an artist's wife. the artist was thomas gainsborough, who painted a picture called pinky girl. when he died, his wife became Heiress Gainsborough.

  • @TheMostBleedingHeart Which, if you didn't know, she was named エアリス in the Japanese version, or, romanised this is "Earisu", which is most likely why this translation was made.

  • @MadeForKitade So? i know Katakana.

No matter,no we all know her as Aerith.

  • Comment removed

  • The victory deserves Aerith life"s???

  • Aeris... :(

  • This is the most beautiful and simultaneously saddest song in the Final Fantasy story I find ...
