Great to see the pics again after 41 years, I was 16 and a skinhead girl and wore all the gear - two tone suits, skirts, dresses, jackets, prince of wales coats, skirts, ben sherman check shirts, braces, white cut off trousers, and big boots, I though I was the bee's knees! Late into the game, '74, 13 years old. Saved the paper round money. i am a rocker and allways have been, turned 50 now, but the only other culture i respected was that of the skinhead family. like rockers, they stood up not only for themselves, but for their way of life. like rockers, they backed each other up no matter what the odds. much respect to the skinhead movement, like rockers, they will never be forgotten. respect to you all, each and every one of you, its been a pleasure to share my world with you.

I'm proud to be Canadian, Irish/English ancestors, working class ethic...and wearing my braces and boots...no time for for bonehead nonsense. I can remember Being a Skinhead first in1968/69 The movement was working class and territorial not everybody was into agro but would try to handle it if it came their way.
Levis or Sta pressed strides Dr Marten's Boots (Ox Blood) Ben Sherman or Brutus Shirts. Sheepskin or Black Crombie Coat,Harrington jackets, Mohair suits Royals ,Gibson Shoes.and of course Reggae Music
The Movement was young people their music and Fashion

Great to see the pics again after 41 years, I was 16 and a skinhead girl and wore all the gear - two tone suits, skirts, dresses, jackets, prince of wales coats, skirts, ben sherman check shirts, braces, white cut off trousers, and big boots, I though I was the bee's knees! I have never seen any two tone material since, it was fantastic, went all the way to brixton from Northampton most weekends to buy my clothes and reggae records. Went to the Carrabean Music festival at Wembley every year.
