  • clase rola tiempos aquellos

  • thankyou!

  • really this is my favorite song , LYRICS! and video EVER, i just float!

  • @infinitalocura Thanks for the cool comment. I used to listen to this album when I was 13 years old. One day I watch Sindbad the Sailor movie and some of the dancing seemed to fit some of the music on the album. I used wonder what some of the lyric where so I put them in the description so I would never forget them.

  • Great song and great rendition. Composer:Antonio Carlos Jobim.. the same from The girl from Ipanema.. genius..

  • @marciakaye It is always nice when a great muscian like Carlos pays tribute to a little known musicion. Thanks for the feedback. Now I can go and explore some of Antonio Carlos Jobim's music if I can find it

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode yes. He was one of our greatest, wrote amazing songs . you can find anything from him on youtube. I only have to disagree on the comment about "little known musician", he was in any way "little". He was world famous. Frank Sinatra recorded an album with him, among others. I thank you for the response to my comment, very nice of you. Thank you.

  • @marciakaye1 did not mean it that way dude. My early life was in Zambia. My mother liked her church African music. Non of us listen to rock music because of all the bad press about rock stars taking drugs and dying. One day in a record store my mother saw Santana 1st album. The fact that it had a mixture of different coloured people intrigued her. She has to listen to the album. We were all stunned and amazed by the band for year's.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode I was not offended in any way.. Now that I learned about you and your life I can see the inspiration Carlos Santana and this particular song brought in to your life.. Just made me very happy and honored as a Brazilian like Jobim.. Thanks again.. and Wish you the best.

  • @marciakaye1 Brazilian? Lovely!.My heart always has a longeing for places like South America and the Asian content. I guess listening to certain music makes me feel that way. I make a video one my channel explaining my discovery of Santana. I get asked a lot of questions so I made the video hoping to answer many of them.

  • @marciakaye There was little difference between the African drum pattens and the Santana drum break beats. So we assumed Santana might be an African band. The songs in Chicano had many words that sounded Africa. So you could say at the time Santana was a little known band. Never getting their music aired on the radio like the Beatles. I don't think I would have got to know about Antonio Carlos Jobim had I not posted the video.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode Little known? Anyone who knows a thing about Jazz or music in general knows Tom Jobim. He has many Jazz standards. Grande Maestro, RIP Tom!

  • @CrimsonianKing I don't mean to sound unkind and I don't care if i do. But I have had the composes name in the video title for the day I uploaded the video. If kind it retarded that people keep point out the composers name as if I had not acknowledged him. But I guess your just looking for an argument. Something I don't have time for and I find it easy just to block and carry one enjoying my life without some guy trying to guide my dick to his mouth.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode First, you're rude. Second, what are you talking about? when did i mention you didn't know who the original composer was? and when was i rude to you? I only said he is very well known around the world, not "little known" as you mentioned. But i'm the one with no time to deal with impolite people like you. Good day, sir.

  • @CrimsonianKing tough shit bitch. I can't help being rude. It's so tempting to comment on a video before reading all the comments and information provided. I know because I say dumb shit nearly all the time one videos I like. Then feel I twat when I don't get a response. But hey some people make a living out of acting like twats and it really does not hurt to come off ones high horse now and then.

  • Love this one...Samba,salsa,rock,new age,spiritual,you named.

  • I wonder if anyone knows the name of Tom Jobim's music that Santana used as basis for this version.

  • Every time I hear this song, the Mind takes a journey....and the imagery assists with that as well. Thank you for posting this Microsoftsource Code.

  • yeah I kinda preffered his hippy look also . Poor guys gone bald .But that takes nothing away from his incredible artistic talent .

  • @bobilly1492 True he might be bald but he now has more fans then ever. If you remember in the 60's men grew their hair long as a protest against the vietnam war. Long haired guys tend to be attracted to other long haired guys. But in reality women like men to look like men even with faults like baldness. Pretty much the same way men like women to look feminine.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode -guess you weren't around to see how many women were all over those long haired male rock musicians. Didn't you ever see the films of thousands of girls screaming at the Beatles? There is a big range of styles, and attractions to reduce human sexuality to simple formulas just isn't accurate. As great as all the musicians who worked with Carlos have been,The original band had some fire as a group that no other ensemble has touched, despite having more chops.

  • @Cometsamba Don't guess and make assumptions about who's profile you have not bothers to read. I dislike music analyst chat up comments from boring men that have nothing better to do than look for dead end arguments over music.

  • @MicrosoftsourceCode I did say I guess, which was meant to indicate I knew I was making an assumption that could be incorrect. I note that rather than refute my assertion you instead.revert to attempted insult. Why is it that you feel justified in stating highly subjective opinions as if they were facts, but don;t accept the same from others? Btw the 60s long hair thing did not start as a protest against 'Nam.

  • @Cometsamba I was born in 1960 and know all about flower power and the Beatles. I forgot to block you. If I had I would not have you still trying to chat me up. I hate that. Bye.

  • Santanas transitional period was by far his peak of creativity .Caravanserai was and is his masterpiece .

  • @bobilly1492 I have to admit his transitional had a big effect on my life too. Mind you I prefer him with the long hair and hippy looks

  • SANTANA/Stone Flower

    オリジナル、ジョビンのヴァージョンより良い、とのコメントも出る程の出来。

  • this is better than jobins version

  • first time i heard this album i was prepared to hate it cause it did not seem to"rock" enough for my tastes. i quickly had my musical tastes broadened despite myself and this album still puts me on a different sphere of thinking after all these years. thanks for kicking my soul a little higher, carlos.

  • santana at their best ..great line up great album...nice vid MSSC !!!!!!!!!!

  • @klnine Thanks

  • i enjoy this video and song everyday!

  • @infinitalocura Thank you for your kind comment

  • ¡¡¡¡¡me encanto!!!!!

    exelente video =)

    increible video increible cancion*

  • Great video!!

It matches beautifully to the song that captures the Divine excellence that the Santana band once had.

Thank you for sharing your amazing creative talent!

  • @jimdep1 Thanks for that M8

  • That's song of Tom Jobim!! Cool footage!

  • @EumirEduAurora Thanks for the info now I can add it to the tags for the video

  • Stone Flower is a track included in which is in my personal opinion, THE BEST SANTANA ALBUM, CARAVANSERAI(1972)he couldn't repeat something like that, what a composition, the album IS STUNNING, YOU CAN HEAR IT FROM BEGINNING TO END WITHOUT CHANGING TRACKS!!!!.....FANTASTIC.....Santana _or The King Of Covers- based his success on covers from other people, his "creativity?"...poor, repetitive, but THIS IS THE ALBUM, Santana in resume, is CARAVANSERAI and the rest of his records.

    Regards.

  • Genial montaje y genial Santana

  • I love this composition! Carlos Santana is a great master musician! :)

  • @LatinBellyGoddess aww thanks sweetie

  • crazy video, all sinbad and shit, neat! santana's greatest era!!!

  • Yeah right. I used to listen to this stuff all the time. If a program I liked was on TV I would watch it with the sound turned of so I listen to Santana or play guitar.
