why are these intellects and scientists so fascinated with words and concepts, thoughts and logic, analysis? None of these will answer any of those questions you pose, for you can't find the truth in the realm of abstractions, of illusions. Your handle on the truth is what enters your nervous system at this present moment; so stop thinking and start experiencing. You might then be able to know whether there are 11 dimensions, rather than endless postulations
I have always imagined the utility of maps coming partially from their compression of 3D space into a 2D surface, as well as their reduction in scale and detail. This video has given me access to the idea that maps which have more than 3 dimensions are also fantastically useful. Many thanks.
You can order both my books from the tenth dimension website. My new book is also available from omniverse. tv My first book, Imagining the Tenth Dimension can also be purchased at online booksellers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
I agree! I've talked about Scott's work a few times in this vlog. And I'm also very pleased to report that Scott has had some very nice things to say about my project as well:
This is a very good example of the greatest flaw of human language.
Besides these western examples shown here, the Chinese also have one: "A white horse is not a horse."
You see, the Chinese language treats the subject and a quality as two seperate items. "Horse" is one item, "white" is one item, and "white horse" is also one item.
Langauge was not "invented" nor "developed," but instead came about through natural selection of various ideas (aka, meme theory). Because words, grammer, etc were selected based on people liking the sound of it and continuing its use, language could never have become a satisfactory system of discribing advanced concepts, nor is it 100% reliable for basic ones.
Math is a reasonable subsitute, but we may have to find another as time goes on.
I would agree that its impossible to imagine something beyond the system we are in for the method of which we use to envision is actually part of the system... you could also go along to say there are not only 10 but infinite dimensions but mathematically they overlap and repeat their basic function..so to speak.
The gap between perception and reality is wide because events are removed from one another.

What is up with the background of this video? Where'd you get it?

@secular555 It's a generated background, one of the plug-ins that comes with Final Cut Pro.

Using variables:
a=a
b=b
ab=/=a
ab=/=b
There is no a+b, as there is in english.
Such is the folly of language.

But, in a sense, such flaws are to be expected.
