really .....words cannot discribe how really good this is....but, if you watch EC's facial expresions after the performence, it tells it all!...do you think there is emotion in this man's music and voice?
I could say a lot and I do have a lot to say about him but I'm just gonna keep it short. WHAT A FREAKING DREAM BOAT!!!! As a woman with exceptional musical background, this guys got it going on. I was lucky enough to see him live and the people who were close enough tossed roses at his feet. Brought tears to my eyes. Love Him in everyway. He is awesome. And what a dreamboat!
@biohazardsoldierPMK Oh, yeah....any time you can see Elvis live- DO IT!! It's been about 16 years since I saw him in NC...I waited about 16 years to see him and it was well worth the wait. It was like visiting an old friend. Elvis got me through the hellish high school years.
Good lord the keyboard parts are hypnotic. An already great song made better by an awesome low key performance. Damn does EC know how to craft a great tune.
@MarkSentMe Yes....he put words to the pain, the anger, the lonliness. Where have they all gone? Who is angry now? WHO tells the truth now? I am weeping, so sad, so angry, still....fifty years old. I am so happy and glad whenever someone goes to high school and murders the bullies, so happy when the fascists get bombed = where is the sanity in this world? Elvis is a shadow of himself these days
I love this one. But non-angry? Really? Were we listening to the same song? I kept thinking the whole time I watched this that I really wouldn't have wanted to get on his bad side. Take a close look at his face the first time he says, "you'd better watch your step." There is so much menace hiding behind that line.
I'm assuming that's the old Tom Snyder tv show. This is a great version of a great song. yes Wpollock Trust was underrated but not as much as Imperial Bedroom. Just as today, the industry does not know what to do with new, original artists.
Yes, love those. I wish someone would throw "New Lace Sleeves" up on Youtube - it was fantastic on DVD. Trust is the most underated Elvis album in my opinion. Get Happy is also underrated.
Thanks for posting this. Possibly the best live performance I have ever seen.

@drgrl He's not missing teeth; he has a big gap in his front teeth and the sides are just misaligned!

I honestly think I'm his youngest fan :) lol Cause I weren't born in 1981 I was born 16 years after that.

Such a fabulous understated performance. The black and white really emphasises the cool tone.

Aww, bless you, Victoria.
What a wonderful thing to share.
EC got me through the psuedo darkness and drama that was my teen age years but you have a genuine memory of him doing that!
thegirl44 2 years ago 2
@thegirl44 I thought I was the only one whose life was saved by EC. Before the Smiths who put my pain and misery to words, there was Elvis. :)

I was 14 and watched this on TV with my mom. She liked it, and kept singing the "You better watch your step" part over and over.
Good memories.

he's my all-time favorite, too. and holy shit, what a fantastic arrangement.
i saw him three times last year - once for free - and each time was absolutely different. he blows my mind.
