  • the sedgwick hotel scene was filmed in los angeles

  • WOW! What a fantastic tour! You really did youre research! I just walked my own tour yesterday! I loved how you even got the shot where stay puft is walking down the street! Great Job man!

  • I was lucky enough to be let inside the lobby of 55 Central Park West. It's nothing like you would think, but has wonderful Art Deco features. The doorman and I discussed "Ghostbusters", and he told me that nobody had ever really stopped by to look inside or mentioned "Ghostbusters" in all the time he worked there.

  • That firehouse in NY is pretty close to Ground Zero. Back before 9/11 I walked from the Twin Towers to that firehouse with my dad. It was maybe only three blocks/intersections away. I'm glad to see that firehouse is still there and working.

  • How come nobody ever includes the yard at Columbia in their Ghostbusters tours?

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video!!...I just subscribed too..anyone who's a bit of an 80's geek is instantly fabulous!...Happy Holidays!

  • I heard the person who built the building actually believed in a god who will destroy the world, but it never happend luckily, but the people whho made ghostbuster took the idea and said HEY lets make a movie

  • Harold Ramis and Dan Akroyd created Ghostbusters.

  • Really. YAY. Dan Akroyd must have haerd of that myth then

  • great video my friend

i hope someday make my own Ghostbuster's video tour

    XD

  • great video and i have both movies and a lot of the toys i am still looking for the firestation for the figures.. any ideas? ( clap clap clap clap )

  • good luck i been looking cant find any

  • The apt. had 10 stores added to it for the movie.

The guy did say a little about it with the painting.

  • Every ghost head needs to go to NYC and visit some of the landmark buildings featured in both movies. I went and saw most of the sites in March 2007. Visiting Hook & Ladder 8 (The firehouse used for outside shots in both movies)

was the best, the firefighters are really nice about us fans visiting, I even got one of their tshirts with the modified Ghostbusters II logo.

  • this was great I did my own little tour in 2007 as well sites from 1 & 2 and it was GREAT!!!

  • Omg dude, your comment about tavern on the green was hilarious. I was thinking the same thing. Great vid!!

  • Found something cool....

Go to Google Map. In the search bar type in 55 Central Park West New york City, New York

And click on street View. and you can get a great panaoramic view the Shandor Building

  • I can't understand why this has only 6,745 dude this is the best the one thats over 120,455 views and they only showed the outside of the fire house lol they didnt say it has ghosbuster theme music but it only like 2:00 lol this video is 1000 times better how weird..

any ways you did an awesome viddeo some people are just dumb asses why would they look at the other one...this and that one being on here at the same weird isn't it man how you gave them more video and they watch less.

  • "I shoulda bought a ECTO1 instead of a DeLorean" - maaan, you face the same kind of dilemmas as I do! :D (except that I haven't bought a DeLorean yet :P) This movie tour is really excellently done, hope to see BTTF on-location tour made by you. Good luck!

  • i enjoyed the hell out of this video. considering ive seen the movie easily 2000 times. been watchin it religiously for the last 20 years. and i dont think it will end

  • thats so ballin

  • Hey Kreg, where's part two?

  • Good work. Cool video.

  • gives me one reason to visit new york city

  • Ghostbusters ain't enough?

Well, they got a cool statue, it's green and it holds a golden ice cream and it's on an island, no joke. It's a tribute to the Jolly Green Giant, only it's a woman. :S

  • It's a torch, not an icecream cone.

  • If you couldn't tell that I was joking, then wow. :P

  • lol he didn't realize it was a joke until afterward.

He chatted with me about 20 minutes after he wrote it.

  • Hahaha

  • Hey, Tavern on the Green isn't a bad resteraunt. :P Anyway, this is a wonderful video showing all the locations where the Ghostbusters movie was filmed. The last time I went to NYC, although I wasn't intentionally looking for the places - we stopped by the "Gozer" building and church and took photographs of it. You did a great job!

  • Thanks for sharing this! I live in the UK and visited NYC a few years back. Now I've seen this the next visit is sure to include Ghosbusters locations. And that fire station is heaven!!!!!!!

  • I'd be in geek hevan if I was outside the firehouse :-D

  • Cool video mate! Nicely done too!

  • I'm already creating my own Ghostbusters-Tour-Video. thx for the impressions ^^

  • Awesome man!!! Very well done. I hope to make it there myself one day and do the exact same thing!

  • Great job!

  • This was real good, I' m glad you toured around where they shot the film, the building that Mr Stay Puffed walked through on his left side really changed, I should go back there to see what happened to it, that building was also shown on ninja turtles movie part 1 with Rapheal walking from the movies, and I like seeing it on the wayans bros show. Ghostbusters 1 & 2 will always be my fav movies and I'm so glad I live in NY where they film the best movies

  • The T-shirt you are wearing, I have the other one with the ecto-1. People ask me if it is really a vintage one?

  • Totally, I have that one too. They look like the vintage one's but just desighned a tad bit stronger

  • i so want one

  • When i went to see the firestation last year it was not a very busy street almost deserted weird!! Also the same with the friends building very deserted!!

  • Yeah same here, I was there last year during Summer and checked out the fire station, no one was there. :D

  • Genial, es un gran video!!Gracias por él.

It's a great video!! Thanks for it

  • cooool kreg

    i am an fan

  • Dude. Im a huge GB Fan forever. Excellent video..!

  • I thought they filmed inside a different building firehouse interior for the first film? I kinda hoped we'd see that location too, hehe maybe re-inact the bill murray "jump over the counter".

    cool vid though

  • this vid should have much more views *lol

  • I hope i will have the same luck when I came to New York

  • Cool video!

  • Great tour guys, very explanitory and I love the clips as well!

  • I have the patch from the Fire House that the movie was filmed at Ladder EIGHT (8) Tribica if anyone wants to see the patch let me and I will email it to you. Oh by the way the movie people added more floors to the building just for the movie.

  • Those firemen are so lucky, they get to have the GB2 sign hung up in their own firehouse! Hey, do you know where the GB1 sign is?

  • GODLIKE! Great job!! I will be making my pilgrimage there soon, too!

  • Very goog video, and nostalgic for a fan like me. However, the internal part of the firehouse that we see in the movie has been shot in another firehouse in Los Angeles, so the real pole is in Los Angel.

  • i'm sure everyone knows this, but the firehouse in LA and the firehouse in NY were built i believe the same year

  • The "windowless" building does appear in the explosion scene im pretty sure.

  • good video. love the t-shirt!

  • A friend of mine is goin to New York in november and visiting the Ghostbusters HQ. I am a prop collector and asked him if he could to maybe chip a bit of the building off for me so i can frame it. How easy do you think this will be if possible at all? Thanks

  • Well, lets see, youd probobly be fined for damaging city property.

  • What is Video number 2 gona be of? You pretty much covered everything.....

  • part 2 stuff

  • When you gona post it?

  • As soon as I get back to manhattan :)

  • You son of a b***h!! This is my dream to one day fly out to New York and do the Ghostbusters tour, awesome video man thanks for posting!!

  • if you need the location spots lmk! :)

  • Oh my gosh! YOu rule! I thought I was obsessed with Ghostbusters and I am so impressed someone else defeats me! Ecto 1 forever man...

  • Could you quote the movie word-for-word? But still he beats us both.

  • :-D

  • you have far too much time on your hands mate.

  • So what if he lives in New York and just so happened want to g osee the stuff in real life?

  • Awesome!!!

I love Ghostbusters too and I´ll like to do the same tour. Can you tell me where I can get information about the shooting places?

  • Like I told you on myspace.

    Dork.

    But I learned tons =P

  • So the ghost buster was like... 800% accurate?! Guess there is one more place I need to go in my lifetime...

    After I get a DeLorean... ~_^
