Okay alot of questions. Yes, it is free, if you play for free you can have about half of the things, you start out with an apartment but dont freak out, you can buy a house without having to pay and money (Real money) The game is alot of fun I enjoyed it alot, I might even go back too it but I do recommend trying it out

@MDoTPrOdUcTiOnZ Some items are entirely free. However there are quite many for Player Points, which is the in-game currency. It's pretty easy to obtain player points, just go around with your equipment smashing coconuts, catching bunnies and so on. You can also play Icefall or Splatball which are mini-fps' to win player points. Then there are some items that are for Cash Coins, purchased with real money. But you really don't need to purchase anything; Onverse is still a great game if you don't.

Looks like an okay alternative to There, but I left There because it lacked the creative aspects that can be found in Second Life, and demanded too much "real money" input.

Of course, I don't even have time for SL these days, but I still log in every 6 months or so, just to see if the grid is still up.
