@turkishsoccerr well actully some pokemon that are firetype are also fighting type which means they can beat water cause fighting is really strong against water and rock. so cyndaquil may also be able to use fighting attacks so its fighting and fire so water ice and grass :]

Totodile just kicks ass, then arcanine is about as good as Cyndoquil which you can get before like the 4th gym.

Plus he's an alligator, can't compete much with a freakin aligator

if you get totodile you get a raikou in johto

if you get cyndaquil you get a suicune

if you get chikorita you get entei

@MegaPeachBunny That's not true. You can get all three of these Pokemon vergardless of your starter Pokemon. After you visit the burned tower in Eruetik City, Raikou and Entei will roam the Johto region and Suicune will appear over and over and finally chalange you somewhere in Kanto.

Chikorita is useful because it learns razor leaf around level 7, but if you're thinking about how you're going to get the other 2 types I would chose Cyndaquil because I can only find a fire type through the pokewalker
