When Sadat was assassinated (in the 80s) I was prepared to bug out for the country. I was sure the Arabs and Israel were going to mix it up for real. But I waited and nothing bad happend. Nowadays, my BOB includes a hand-held GPS. No sense avoiding towns just to walk in circles in the woods. Also, travel in pairs (or more) but not together. Carry walkie talkies and keep in touch. I have a pellet pistol to intimidate people and killing small game. I have a 12 gauge shotgut for pests and game.

New York has VERY strict gun laws. He's saying he would get one if he didn't have to deal with those restrictions. New York I BELIEVE has the most strict gun laws in the country. It's very costly and complicated.

Actually, Cotton is only good when your not moving around. Synthetic allow moisture to move from the body to cool it. The only thing that prevents heat stroke is plenty of water and shade. Peace.

You are right. I did not show my 4 season rock tent and my fire starter either. But, I am not going to be outside. I have a 9 acre place north of here with a cabin, solar panels and deep wells one on a pump powered by my panels and the other a hand pump. Toilets are out house and compost inside the cabin. I've been planning this ever since Wacco. Where you are in Brittan will be safe enough. But you job will not be so safe. At least you will have your health.

My guess is based on a Biblical premise. Oct 9th. is Yom Kippur, the Day of Judgement on the Hebrew Calendar. Oct.13th is the another Hebrew event which is Succoth. Oct. 15 is the day the Ammonites attacked the Israelites and G-d killed them. Both that event and this present day happened during a Blue Moon. It is very rare and when it happens (the Blue Moon during the High Holy days) G-d's Judgement is on the Unbelievers. So, That's my guess.

I been doing this sort of thing since I was in the Marines. After 8 years of during this, it becomes a habit. Make a list. You can go on google and type in "Bug Out Bag list" and it's already done for you.

Do it fast. By the 15th of October, we'll all be camping out.

As far as the date, it's a guess. But as far as the severity of the collapse, it will be fast and long. I think the shanty towns are going to be back with a vengeance. I think that once we slide, we will keep sliding for at least 3-5 years. I have read every possible book and Internet site on the Great Depression and it is like deja vu all over again. Look up the "Wiemar Republic" on wikipedia. I think that this is what is going to happen.
