@alexxx1836 Thanks for the reminder!!!!! I am now so busy with my job that I hardly find time. Its really sad, as these videos are so close to my heart.
Why is Hindi so similar to bangla? I understand every single sentence and I have watched only three Hindi films in my life. 90% of the words are same/ similarly pronounced.
But arent Marathi, Nepali,Sinhala also indo aryan. They arent that similar compared to bangla and hindi.
for example "kal ho na ho" according to my bengali point of view it means tomorrow may never come and I suppose the same thing it means in hindi. Its actually same exact word for word in bangla.
@ranjan2 Just because two languages are from the same language family doesn't answer why Bengli and Hindi are so similar. Spanish and French are within the same language family but 90% of the words are not mutually understood. If you say they are, you are serious wrong.
the truth is Hindi and Urdu are indo-aryan languages..all of pakistan and 75 % of indian populations speak indo-aryan languages... ..soo where does it even exist that hindi takes words from urdu..when urdu was made out of hindi with persian words in it..and bcz persian and hindi are from same language family..they do have same words...and these languages were created longgg bfr the religions,,
you know how to make me learn hindi!! , with the hottest bollywood man ever! Sharukh Im a total fan . if you could do the same with more songs , i will learn hindi in a flash!
i became fluent in the the reading of my own language through Karaoke, I wish other languages (foreign i.e Hindi) would start doing more Karaoke typed songs like this. Post more if you have. Thanks!
urdu has hijacked "tabhav" hindi words..and passes them as its own. ..like vazan...which comes frm sanskrit "vahan" meaning "to bear".....similar chaand frm "chandrama" ....nazar frm "netra"...urdu is an idotic language made by stupid muslims of arabs whu couldnt prononunce sanskrit words...
Kanishk, your statements are childish and infantile. "Wazan" is Arabic, it can NOT have a Sanskrit root because Arabic belongs to completely different language family. "Nazar" is also arabic, and it's actually "naDHar" with pharyngealized voiced dental fricative DH. Chaand of course comes from Sanskrit Chandrama.
She does make sense moreso if one decides to do a serious study. Sanskrita means perfected language ! In order for image, political whims one adulterates, thinking it is Ok ! Sanskrit is not only highly scientific but also highly spiritual in it's levels of construction. to adulterate loses it vibrational consonance ! Only scholars could show ! but show you will to accept a bond as a Guruh - hence guruh relationship - reciprocity ! Many reasons it is called Deva-nagari
"urdu is an idotic language made by stupid muslims of arabs whu couldnt prononunce sanskrit words"
If you want to broadcast your hatred, then please go elsewhere. Stop pretending to know anything about comparative linguistics, and stop using your wildly erroneous "facts" as a vehicle to spread your bigotry.
I'm trying to explain to you that the language here is Hindi or Urdu. The are identical languages at this level of speech. It can be labelled Hindi or Urdu. However, most people in the world are more familiar with the term "Hindi".
The basic grammar of Hindi and Urdu is identical. And the two languages are essentially indisthinguishable in colloquial everyday speech.
The difference between Hindi and Urdu comes into play in technical or academic speech, where Urdu borrows words from Persian/Arabic and Hindi borrows from Sanskrit. But aside from technical language, the basic language is the same.
Punjabi is the language of the northern Indian state of Punjab, and also the western Pakistani state called by the same name. Hindi and Punjabi are mutually intelligible to a certain extent. This video is Hindi.
BTW- Please ignore retards like mlatabreezalam who don't even know what they're writing. Colloquial Hindi and Urdu are one and the same language, the only difference being that formal Urdu uses a lot of Arabic and Persian loan words, while formal Hindi uses a lot of Sanskrit loan words.
i was wondering if the verse "palkon ke le ke saaye" is better translated as: "Take away the shadows of the moment"? I especially inquire because of your translation of le = bring. Shouldnt that be "lo"? Please tell me if I am wrong.
hey compa no ma muchas gracias we si eh reforsado mucho lo que havia yo investigado de hindi, muchas gracias, espero que puedas hacer mas videos y mantenerme al tanto.
Thanks you very much, you reforced a lot, all that hindi that I have investigated, becouse i want to learn, but here in mexico isnt many indians or people that speaks hindi that can teach me. ok thanks very much. please if you do more videos tell me. ciao.
Ranjan2...thank so much your explanation is incredible credible amazing.A lot things have more sense now. the times on the verbs are so differents and sometimes the rela mean is lost in translation..thank so much
I love your lessons sooo much! Not only have they taught me some Hindi but also the IPA. Learning that has helped me to better understand phonics in general. I'm teaching my 5 year old to read right now , and all this has really helped. Thank You.
I'm learnning hindi from a while and ur lessons were very very helpful.
However I have a question: do u think to upload more videos like that, matlab with hindi subtitles??? Because i think that this is the best way to learn a language.
Thanks for appreciating, but unfortunately Corporate World Wolves are prowling the internet for copyright infringements. They already struck down one of my song videos. These videos are educational and meant under Fair Use laws but they don't agree. If I do make any more song videos I'll have to be careful to choose less important ones.
No this is not true. Urdu is merely a style of Hindi. There is no such thing as Urdu mixed with Hindi. Doordarshan Hindi is actually an artificial Hindi.
They claim to speak Shuddha Hindi (pure) but the Standard language has been made by artificially purging off all Persian, Arabic and English loanwords and replacing them with very difficult Sanskrit loanwords. This make Shuddha Hindi too awkward to be a spoken language.
Hi all, I request you to check out my next video. It is not about Hindi, but a help that I need. I need you to identify the songs I am humming, if you can.
Can you put up your word by word translation somewhere so that I can print it off to study it more carefully? Thanks so much for the hard work. I have a podcast called Cantonesepod and I appreciate that such things take lots of time...
Hi¡ I´m a mexican girl, i love all of hindi people, i will like to learn the language, my english is pour, but i can understand you very well, thks, for your time to let this lesson, and the others ones. With love from Mexico ♥
Bollywood is the WORST way to learn Hindi. The Hindi in Bollywood is extremely Persianized.

the "na" in "kal ho na ho" is not written with the "aa" matra but just as "n" ...though people often mistakenly pronounce it as "naa"
bhobhluchiku 2 years ago
The "na" comes into Hindi from Sanskrit and "naa" comes from Persian. Both are correct in their own places.
ranjan2 2 years ago

Hindi and Urdu are grammatically identical languages. The language in this song is both Hindi and Urdu.
The distinction between Hindi and Urdu becomes apparent in technical or academic speech, not in colloquial language.
