I agree with you mikedrummonds, i was watchin The Exorcist [the version you've never seen] with the director William Friedkin's commentary and it is so freakin relaxing and interesting when he opens your mind as to why he shot a scene this way or for example when he says that he always has Father Karras rising up as part of a motif, just brilliant stuff isn't it!!!
My GOD, this man is a genius. For fans, dont miss Friedkin's audio commentary on the DVD of The Exorcist, It is hands down the greatest I have ever seen. No banter between the director and stars, no stupid stories about what was going on the day they shot the scenes, just Friedkin himself, going through scene by scene and dissecting the charecters like a mental surgeon. It's absolutely fascinating, and possibly as good as the movie itself if you can believe it.
Very good interview,Mr.Friedkin always comes across as a complete gentleman. He's a very committed filmmaker who's more recent movies have not been as successful as his earlier efforts.......
What a genuinely interesting, talented, irascible fellow.

I like Friedkin but I think it's a stretch to say that law enforement is futile.

@roselandalvin - move to Somalia or the Sudan and then tell me if you agree with Friedkin about law enforcement.
