One of my ancestor's brothers, Alfred Warren (1834-1886) left Cascumpec, PEI, Canada, for Madison county, NY and after toiling as a farm laborer, joined the NY Heavy Artillery and was wounded in battle. I am fascinated by Maritime Canadian participants in the Civil War.
