  • I love how the mutes randomly vanish in the middle of the scene!

  • Would LOVE to have seen a Federation equivalent of a Tommy gun.... you know... during the whole Dominion War arc.

  • Never watched Star Trek, but Patrick Stewart is always awesome.

  • Couldn't he have just said "Computer, one Tommy gun?" Not that I'm complaining of course...

  • I wonder how many times Stewart fucked that scene up purposely just to keep firing the tommy gun. I know I would have. lol

  • Cpt Picard with a Thompson.

    Your argument is absolutely,positively invalid.

  • Two wild Borg appeared!

    Picard used TommyGun!

    I'ts FUCKING effective!

  • I heard years ago that this scene is longer in the Australian version with body parts flying everywhere any truth to it ?

  • @skylineandy Probably not.

  • .45 not just a manstopper, but a borg stopper lol

  • That's the picard maneuver.

  • Starfleet should've invented tommy phasers after this.

  • The only holodeck sequence in all of NuTrek that didn't suck complete ass.

  • patrick stewart must have felt like a million bucks the next day :D

  • If it was me, after I shot the two Borg up, I would have said: Adapt to THAT, Bitch.

  • Gee, if only the Federation thought of this earlier

  • SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!

  • This is the badassness benchmark by which all Starfleet captains are measured.

  • like the angry picard!!

  • thats neelix from voyager, lol.

  • lol that Neelix was the Doorman

  • I can't believe someone photoshopped Borg over Chunk from The Goonies...

  • A Gun is 100 times better than a phaser

  • @Durhandoni80 Try adapting to this frequency...oh wait! There isn't any. Haha. Take that b*tches.

  • my rage broke it!!

  • HE WAS ALMOST ENJOYING IT

  • THATS RIGHT PICARD LET THE HATE FLOW THROUGH YOU KILL THEM KILL THEM ALL LOL

  • DIE YOU FUCKING BORG lol

  • Hahaha I knew a guy named "nose"

  • LOL ita the actor for Nelix 0:15

  • @borghome Yes, Ethan Phillips

  • Picard looks like he's having so much fun shooting those Borg.

  • hahahaha 2:15 look at nicky the nose

"and not a single fuck was given that day"

  • @mightymoksha haha never noticed that before

  • This is a pretty romantic first date.

  • Picard is EPIC!!!

  • 0:14 is the actor who plays Neelix :P

  • Instead of using their phasors and phasor rifles, why didn't they replicate a bunch of AK-47s?

  • So, since this scène the Borg have adapted to "Tommy-gun" bullets.

  • @Rvulzen

I don't think the Borg can adapt to tommy guns. They should use those for fighting against the borg XD. Picard, Data and Worf with a Tommy gun against the Borg.

  • Patrick Stewart as Dick Tracy = flippin' awesome!

  • 2:20 just getting pumped with imaginary bullets in the simulation lmfao,

    badass fucking movie...

  • @2236hunk

Safeties off... just as good as the real thing.

  • Love how the borg just throws around the waiters like they're nothing. Wish I could walk into a actual bar and do that kind of stuff.

  • for a starfleet captain of his experience, and at that range with that weapon.....jeez he's not a very good shot is he lol

  • @BlackValkyire Well i'm sure an admiral of an aircraft carrier can't shoot a musket very well

  • killing himself and everyone else to get revenge. Was it an action movie bit? Yes. Was it completely and utterly without any explanation? No.

That would be the car chase sequence in Nemesis.

  • It's not like it's out of nowhere he does this. Yes, in the show it would have been out of character for him to run into a Holodeck, and pick up a gun, but all the years of what the Borg did to him, the lingering psychological effects, the years of attacks on the Federation, that was one of the points of this movie. He starts to seek revenge for this latest attack on them, one he takes very personally since the Queen is involved, and he finally realizes that he would be like Captain Ahab,

  • talks to the Borg and gets to know it, and in the end can't do it. He realizes that the Collective is the biggest threat out there, but that it's wrong to destroy them, because they have the right to life just like everybody else. And I don't think he decided that based on simple sentimentality for Hugh (the single Borg). Examples are legion where Picard is understandably traumatized by his experience with the Borg, but doesn't act like he does here.

That's why this is so out-of-character.

  • Watch the movie. Him snapping is a point in the movie. The whole Ahab thing is a metaphore. He is going to get everyone killed by trying to get revenge.

He makes a speech about it in the movie, They attack, and they draw back, the Borg attack, and the Federation draws back again, they attack again, and the Federation draws back again. He's pissed, and explains his motives to Lily. He even gets so worked up he smashes the display case of ships. Lily calls him Captain Ahab several times.

  • was showing in a later scene, and that he enjoyed killing the Borg. He denies it, but she keeps on. She says she saw the look on his face, and that if she was in his position she would want revenge, too. He eventually admits it. They find out one of the Borg he killed was a former crewman.

  • i whould soooooooooooooooooo love a holodeck of my own omg that whould rock ps hey borg SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FREIND BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG

  • LOL, with lasers, particles beams and phasers, the only thing the borg can't adept to is a good old tommygun.

  • Mmmm, how deliciously out-of-character.

  • @kalibos

    Well, yes and no.

If you watch the entire movie, you see Picard slowly unravelling as the memories of what the Borg did to him come up. He starts to take everything personal, and his desire for revenge increases. He is likened to Ahab of Moby Dick by Lily (the girl who he is with) as his desire for personal revenge is going to cost him everything. This is Picard pushed and pushed by the Borg, until he finally snaps. This scene goes on until Lily says his desire for revenge

  • @Draknfyre Well, no.

If you watch the show, you see Picard face the Borg on multiple occasions before FC takes place and there isn't any out-of-character action movie crap like this. I point to the episode I Borg - in this episode they find a lone Borg at a crash site, take it aboard the ship, and find a way to send it back to the Collective with a virus that would destroy the whole shebang once and for all - but they don't. Picard is going to at first, but at the beseeching of his crew he

  • so wait,

why did that one guy have a metal nose?

  • Good old Model 1928 Tommy Gun with a 50 round drum mag and a front grip. Forget about it.

  • Hahaha, It's Neelix! I never noticed!

  • wow some holographic image. it creates real life tommy guns! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! keep the change ya filthy animal.

  • @LelouchCommandsYou Only because he disengaged the safety protocols. Without those, even a holographic bullet can kill.

  • Woot! Picard just unleashed a "more evolved human" asskicking :D

  • SSSSSOOOOOOO EPIC!!!

  • Awesome scene, not just for a Trek Film, but in general :)

  • 2:06 wooohoooo wow amaising @-) :O :)) Captain Picard dressend in a white suit and tommygunning borgs :)) =D> best scene ever

  • say hello to my little frend

  • The musician at 1:07 on the bottom right looks like he's looking at the Borg, haha.

  • still makes we wonder, if he just wanted a damn gun, why didnt he just move them to say....oh, normandy, early june, say 1944?

  • @DaytonaRoadster Too many variables. You don't just find a gun in 1944, you kick someone's ass for their gun. On top of that, he'd be getting shot at himself. On the bright side though, the Germans and the Allies would probably both be shooting the Borg.

  • @DaytonaRoadster

He could have just asked for a gun. They wanted to make a scene that was enjoyable, and showed what the Holodeck was used for, normally. If he had just asked for a gun, it would have been boring.

  • Fuckin' borg queen tryin' to move dope in our neighborhood. They gots what they deserved!

  • poor Ethan. Damn you. Damn you all to hell.

  • needs more truffle shuffle

  • Ethan Phillips!

  • Naw, I think that borg needed a lil more :p

  • Get some, motherfucker!!

  • You would think the smart humans of the future would click that Borg are some what susceptible to hot lead instead of those kind-a pathetic light guns.

  • @darkblood626

And that they'd always use the wide spread setting so to take down opposition in one fell swoop or have the ability to activate phaser sweeps within the corridors as a security measure, if not on their ship then on more hostile and warfaring ships like the klingons, or that there would be more non-humanoid alien races out there.

Or that the borg would have been walking through rather then into the holograms as their internal sensors should be able to differentiate the two...

  • @darkblood626 Solid projectiles are the reason "star wars" were banned by international law. Any stream of "hot lead" could come into orbit around a planet, at enough speeds to render it impossible for inhabitants to launch a rocket off of it without serious cleanup procedures.

  • Keep the change ya filthy animal.

  • @ditbot Say hello to my little friend!!!

  • The magazine is not that big. I'm just sayin.

  • @foozy12 there 100+ drums..

  • @kopper101 Whoa?

  • @foozy12 You played too many videogames to think every magazine has only 30 rounds in them.

  • @clay180 Naw, in my game, guns don't have magazines.

  • @foozy12 The Thompson Sub-Machine gun has two different standard clips: a 20 round and then a 50/72 round (can't remember for sure). Needless to say though that it isn't realistic: if using projectile weapons worked so well against the borg, wouldn't StarFleet start issuing those instead? Good movie part, but not really believable.

  • @s267143 Mags not clips, clips hold bullets to be inserted into a mag, a mag hold bullets inside a weapon...sorry it just irrates me when people get that wrong. Tommy gun uses a 20 or 30 round box mag and a 50 round drum mag, which is what picard was using. The tommy has a fairly slow rate of fire, so what was filmed was acutally very realistic. And the Feds did acutally try ballistic weapons against the borg for a while until they got those shifting phasers

  • @s267143 That's what I was thinking, but at the same time, you're talking about reconfiguring a large amount of vessels with a completely different type of weapon. That would take a large amount of time for development, deployment and rotating ships into ports to get fitted. Even still I always though that railguns should've been something that at least the newer ST shows had.

  • That'll hold them.

  • Only Picard can get away with this.

  • This is what happens when Starship Captains drink too much coffee before engaging the borg.

  • The thing that interested me most was that Picard had a blonde who was hot to flirt with.

  • Shoot the crap out of 'em, Captain! :D

  • this is the best scene ever

  • IT'S THE EPICNESS

  • What the--?

Now I must see this film.

  • @thatgalwiththebraids Have you seen it yet? It's my favorite of the TNG movies.
