This is the Portsmouth Sinfonia, an orchestra that formed in the early 1970s where the only requirement to join the orchestra was that you didn't play a musical instrument or if you did, you played an instrument that you hadn't played previously.
Although they started out as a one-off novelty performance, It may be surprising to learn that they actually eventually played a concert in the Royal Albert Hall and actually reached the top 40 in the UK singles chart.
