...no no this was the 2nd stunner, the 1st recipient of the stunner was a jobber named Jason Arndt on a WWF Superstar taping, the same exact taping that actually coupled & ran together w/ "in your house beware of dog 2" ,which would have been 5/28/96; however it wasn't actually aired until 6/8/96.
@ nasirnadhir wow your right. the first stone cold stunner was done june 8th on wwf superstars against some jobber. the vids actually on youtube. as i wrestling fan i love learning new things. i will make changes to the title thanks for correcting my mistake. but this is the first stone cold stunner on wwf raw and the first time his finishing move was given a name.
@ DW1014 i agree him and vega had some underrated classic matches. a combination of his fued with bret hart, winning king of the ring and the 97 royal rumble i think put austin on the map. i'm proud to say that i've followed stone cold's carreer he's my favourite wrestler.
Very much so, but he needed to take that extra step for the "Toughest Son of a Bitch" personality. Its one of the few things that weren't broken but were fixed to make it even better.
I also have to correct myself though too, this match on Raw did not take place two days after that Superstars taping like I had said, but obviously the Raw the week after it
The first Stone Cold Stunner on TV was actually against Jason Arndt on the 6/8/97 edition of Superstars, which was two days before this Raw aired. Just a little known fact
@Mark271792 Nope, but go to The History of the WWE site and it states it there, that that was infact the debut of the Stunner, though they played it off as if this were its debut when it in fact wasn't. I've also read elsewhere for the results of that show saying the debut happened there, and not here. If someone has that episode they should upload that match
9:08 (that's the bottom line cause stone cold said so!)

Its weird seeing the stunner being performed without the kick to the gut first.

I actually liked Stone Cold Steve Austin's first theme. It still fitted his "stone cold" personality.

It's funny to see Steve Austin actually taking time to repair his knee brace at 5:22, LOL.

It just looks weird seeing Stone Cold without atleast ONE knee brace lol
