I just took a spin around Simpon's site and unfortunetly those clothes are nothing out of the ordinary, quite plain and many of them are tacky (the ruffle hem dress, the metallic one with bows on shoulders and the sequinned shoudler wrap dress among other things).

They fit the mass consumer market with the price and style and that is why they sell well. However, that doesn't mean that the clothes are fashion forward. There's no cohesion among the collection and they fit barely any fashion trends (okey, one) and you could find any of these dresses in many other retail stores. It all just comes off very cheap to me. You argumentum ad populum aside Kors's brand will always have higher social value than Simpons's.
