  • How do we get in touch if we want one?

  • @chrispurchase A PM here on youtube is a good of way as any for quick questions ect However I'm not really building right now but I'd be glad to hear from anyone interested.

  • Janek. xD I love it! Those chords sounded nice, and the finger response is snappy. nice!

  • Hey how did the walnut wood treat you? I'm having a pretty simple custom bass made (Basically a J-Bass copy with Walnut wood and custom neck from Warmoth) from walnut and I was wondering how the wood affects the tone, also does it scratch easily? And is it heavY?

  • @redhook4 Hey there. The reason I chose walnut was for looks, I like deep rich woods and walnut was a good choice. The affects on tone- who knows man...the pickups, string, bridge, preamp/passive electronics all affect it. I build two basses with walnut bodies and they sound completely different. It it pretty heavy stuff, and in a J bass body style it'll be a hefty bass for sure. And I don't know what you mean by if it scratches easily, it doesn't scratch at all with a finish on it...

  • @Zombbg4 Thanks for the information. I love the look of the dark woods and thought it would be good for a J-Bass. Sorry I meant is it durable and sturdy.

  • Shitty mic as described, but that still sounds like it has wonderful tone, must be a pleasure to play!

  • If I give you my warwick , you give me that bass ? :D

  • @Ezek1234 Dont ask me...this bass is in Japan now, and I'm not. Sold it :(

  • @Zombbg4 You sold it ??? But why ?? !!

  • now if i had to quickly illustrate my favourite bass sound, your videos would come to my mind first. thanks for the walnut/wenge/ebony/bart recipe, seems like an excellent choice. bart does a lot in the final character but wood darkens and warms it all while ebony adds that fast projection.. at least this is like i see it. all the best, mike

  • @pastorius oh, and i'd love to see it on TB, could you post a link please ? thanks

  • *drool

  • Beauty! If that bass was hanging on the wall in a Sam Ash or G.C.,my eyes would skip over all the others and go right to it!!

  • Very crisp, punchy with an imediate response... love it!

  • heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...wait a minute.. I seen that Bass on TB.....lol... niceeeeeeeeeeee

  • Were the Barts custom order because I was wondering if they did something like that but I didn't see anything on bestbassgear with those specs. I'm having a custom built and having single coils that I could move around would be great.

  • @Thatguy301 Caught the Janek tune eh? lol The pickup situation is really simple actually, nothing more than standard bart singles like you get from bestbassgear but inside of a big ass EMG cover. I got them used so I cant help as to how/where you can get them, but its shouldnt be too difficult. Lemme know how it goes, and who are you having build your bass??

  • @Zombbg4 I'm having a custom CallowHill Junk Jazz made and movable single coil pickups sound like an awesome idea. I'm between going with either that idea or the stock Nordstrand Fatstacks w/ a coil splitting switch. I'll check on it :). BTW, you used to have some other videos up. What happened to them? I remember the All Blues solo specifically but I'm sure there was more.

  • Wow, that thing sounds great and you sound great on it!! I like the Janek you threw in there!

  • great bass dude...

  • Wow.. I still want to get one made.
