I understood that but his mind wasn't getting younger, just his body.
You see, the message I took from the movie was that we should leave our partners whilst still in our prime because we are inevitably going to deteriorate and become nothing more than a burden to them. I don't think that's a very good moral for a film to promote.
Also when he was in his worst condition towards the end, she was left caring for him anyway (when he was in a similar state to an old person with dementia).
i love this movie!n i actually don`t like this stuff like romantic stuff etc... but this one really touched me!the ending yeah...maybe i few tears came off hahah but this is one of the best movies ever made!besides v for vendetta and silence of the lamb!if anyones knows where to download it in hq or really good quality please send me the link!
P.s, unfortunately the hype, press and trailers for this film were not even a10th of Titanics if every one remembers at least 7 months before Titanic's release? Titanic seamed to hit and appeal to a far wider audience. Button is a classic its just gonna take more time for people to realise it. 5 star film all the way, a real tear jerker
I see your point but this film wasn't going to have the obvious (we knew it sank) end as Titanic with teen stars all the way threw and Cameron's (terminator, T2, Aliens, the abyss, titanic) flair for action sequences with the haunting score=Mega blockbuster.. This was Forest Gump with David Fincher (Great dark director, Fight Club, Seven etc) at the helm with Speilbergs production team paying for it. Didnt really appeal to teens nor historians etc even with Brad. It certainly is a CLASSIC tho.

The clockwork's son went to war. And in the amount of time it took his son to go to war and come home in a coffin, the clockwork set about making a clock for the train station. After his son died, they put up the clock and realized that instead of going clockwise, it went counterclockwise. The clockwork is blind but he knew that the clock went backwards. He said he wanted it to be as if time were going backwards instead of forwards so that people could get a second chance.

I don't understand why anyone thinks this movie is spectacular....it was a curious case of exquisite boredom.Possibly due to the unrealistic, ridiculous scenario of a person born an old man and subsequently growing younger through the years.A half hour of trying to appreciate the movie...I gave up.

Did Benjamin and/or Daisy have any (close) friends? If so, did they notice that Benjamin was not aging but getting younger? Did Benjamin ever have a job (when he was in his 20s I know he fixed bikes)? I guess he lived of his dad's money. How come no one noticed that Benjamin was getting younger except his mom, his dad and Daisy? Did Benjamin have friends at all?

That's why I think I'm maybe missing something.
Also when he was in his worst condition towards the end, she was left caring for him anyway (when he was in a similar state to an old person with dementia).
Wh15ky 2 years ago
no, when he's becoming younger, he slowly lost his mind and his memory.
devilmok 2 years ago
Yes, but it wasn't so much to do with his mind was getting younger, more to do with his mind deteriorating as it would with old age.
When Daisy went to see him as a child the man who greeted her said his condition was comaparble to early dementia.
