You see, the message I took from the movie was that we should leave our partners whilst still in our prime because we are inevitably going to deteriorate and become nothing more than a burden to them. I don't think that's a very good moral for a film to promote.

P.s, unfortunately the hype, press and trailers for this film were not even a10th of Titanics if every one remembers at least 7 months before Titanic's release? Titanic seamed to hit and appeal to a far wider audience. Button is a classic its just gonna take more time for people to realise it. 5 star film all the way, a real tear jerker

I see your point but this film wasn't going to have the obvious (we knew it sank) end as Titanic with teen stars all the way threw and Cameron's (terminator, T2, Aliens, the abyss, titanic) flair for action sequences with the haunting score=Mega blockbuster.. This was Forest Gump with David Fincher (Great dark director, Fight Club, Seven etc) at the helm with Speilbergs production team paying for it. Didnt really appeal to teens nor historians etc even with Brad. It certainly is a CLASSIC tho.

After his son died, they put up the clock and realized that instead of going clockwise, it went counterclockwise. The clockwork is blind but he knew that the clock went backwards. He said he wanted it to be as if time were going backwards instead of forwards so that people could get a second chance.
