I am disabled and have chronic pain going on 10 years due to bad bones and a 30ft fall.. so imagine all teeth being abcess to the point my jaw is locked and being so tolorant to everything u mentioned that pain meds neither antibiotic work. They have me on all three antibiotics in hopes to get infection down. Once on narcotics a long time you dont get sleepy ect.. but they dont work as well

I've been trying to make an appointment with the dentist but this people playing games. Talking about they only allowed to do 16 a day and at only at 8 am is when they make the appointments. I'm not in pain now but i really want this taking care of asap.

The same thing happened to me. I didn't have a chipped tooth, had to have a another root canal on a root canal tooth. I took the same antibiotics and eventually I had to have the abscess drained. It was a complete mess but just as you my entire left side of my face was swollen

I had the same problem, it took Amoxicillin five days to reduce the swelling. The problem with the woman in this video is that she took it for ONE day and decided it didn't work then took another antibiotic. If you don't finish ALL of your supply you will grow resistant to that antibiotic.
I hope your alright now,i have this at this very moment,it is proper BAD.To be fair it can be controlled fairly easily with anti biotics.I was like the elephant man lolz.BTW folks NEVR listen to home remedies stuff just go to your dentist.
And one more thing...If it ever happens again, mix salt and baking SODA (not powder) and make a paste out of it with water. Soak a cotton ball in it for a second and place that on the area with the infection. It will burn like hell for about 5 minutes but after that, the pain is gone. Even better, it draws the infection out so it can be drained.
3 drops of clove oil and 2 drops of olive oil, soak a cotton ball, place it, instant pain relief but wont help infection.
Long Story short, I've been sick for about a week. Thought it was the flu. Then 3 days ago the entire right side of my face is numb. Turns out it was a (painless) infection in my tooth that got into my blood.
Now I'm getting the same story. "Can't do anything until the infection gets better" but nothing is making the infection better. Catch 22.

This happened to me twice. I was in a accident and had ALL my TOP teeth busted at the gum line didnt have MONEY and got abcess so bad I almost died. My jaw felt like it was busted with a hammer. To get the teeth out they had to cut on all four sides then stick a pik in to pull it. Felt like my brain was pulled out of my nose. I ran out of money again and still got 7 more to go. I sure hope the antibiotics knocked out the infection. On 12/06/10 I went to the dentist and he "packed" an abscessed tooth, gave me an antibiotic and pain pills. Sent me home. In less than 24 hours I was so swollen my husband took me to the ER where I was admitted and put on life support for 15 days. Two surgeries also during the hospital stay.

i know what you're goin through the face was swollen due to the medication, my front tooth my lips were massive after i took antibiotics after one day, now i have back molar abscess and i have been suffering with that on and off for 3 years now as i type to you, my dentist said you have severe bone damage around the tooth and infection needs to be drained before i can continue with treatment,

My prayers and heart goes out to you. I was in the same situation last year but it was my ear that caused the issue and my whole right side of my face and down my neck was swollen. I ended up having to have surgery to get rid of the infection. Get will soon and try a hot compress for the swelling. It should help the swelling to go down even a little bit.

you need to go back to the hospital and let them drain the fluid. I had a boil on the top part of my ear and my whole face swelled up as well on that side of my face. My eye was swollen, nose, mouth on that side. It looked like i was fighting tyson. What was happening was the infection was localizing and no atibiotics they gave me got rid of it, they had to drain it. Yes it was the worst pain i ever felt in my life and the whole time i was in the hospital they had me on morphine.
Also, was there no way for them to drain it? I've had an abscess before and the doctor actually drained it --- hurt like hell, but it got rid of the fluid.
Girl I think this is the month of issues (Oct was too)! I just had to have emergency oral surgery to get my wisdom tooth pulled because it was infected and fractured... TALKING ABOUT PAIN! Whew! Feel better!

I had an abcessed tooth for like 2 years cus I had a big hole in my tooth ...an didnt treat it and I ate only on the right side of my mouth FOR TWO YEARS because the abcess was on the left...well one day that abcess was kickin my ass an I had no choice but to go get it pulled I was terrified of the dentist until after that because I realized that you're only hurting yourself when u dont go an YES an abcess can contain deadly pus on the inside. hope u get well soon.

i know what you're goin through the face was swollen due to the medication, my front tooth my lips were massive after i took antibiotics after one day, now i have back molar abscess and i have been suffering with that on and off for 3 years now as i type to you, my dentist said you have severe bone damage around the tooth and infection needs to be drained before i can continue with treatment,

I kno exactly how you feel....I couldnt eat or swallow and it reached to the bottom of my jaw no matter what medications they gave me I still felt the pain....bt I pray you get better hun....REAL TALK 2 ANYONE IF U HAVE A CRACK OR YA FILLIN CAME OUT YA MOUTH GO TO THE DENTIST ASAP!

Awwwh hunny, I am praying for a speedy recovery and swift painless removal of the tooth...I actually just got all 4 my wisdom teeth removed on 10/28/10 because I had an infection in the bottom left one, so I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm still not able to eat real foods yet but my mouth is healing well and so will yours...just hang in there dear and get some rest...those wig reviews will still be there once your "back to beautiful". ~Peace

OMG iv had this before. My abscess bust and all the fluid went into my cheek and my cheak swole up so much and i couldnt see throught my eye! I was so so scared! thought id gone blind in one eye =(.

My prayers and heart goes out to you. I was in the same situation last year but it was my ear that caused the issue and my whole right side of my face and down my neck was swollen. I ended up having to have surgery to get rid of the infection. Get will soon and try a hot compress for the swelling. It should help the swelling to go down even a little bit.

Girlllll I see this everyday! Ain't no joke! Hubby had once and his face was twice as swollen! Girl he look like someone beat his ass! He had a cavity though and they wouldn't pull it until the infection was gone! Hope you start feeling better!

oooh, girl I know exactly how you feel. I've had an abscess on a wisdom tooth that was coming in. Had to have surgery to get all my wisdom teeth out after they drained that damn abscess... goodness. I felt like I was literally dyin'. Get well, girlie.

That's so funny, not you Sis the swollen thing cause a woman on my job got the same thing when she went on a cruise, she had a black eye and her mouth was swollen like yours, well every one at work including me thought her boyfriend be the crap out of her from flirting with the men on the ship, but she kept saying it was a tooth something, you help clear that up, so get some rest it's gonna be ok. you need to go back to the hospital and let them drain the fluid. I had a boil on the top part of my ear and my whole face swelled up as well on that side of my face. My eye was swollen, nose, mouth on that side. It looked like i was fighting tyson. What was happening was the infection was localizing and no atibiotics they gave me got rid of it, they had to drain it. Yes it was the worst pain i ever felt in my life and the whole time i was in the hospital they had me on morphine.

Also, was there no way for them to drain it? I've had an abscess before and the doctor actually drained it --- hurt like hell, but it got rid of the fluid.

Girl I think this is the month of issues (Oct was too)! I just had to have emergency oral surgery to get my wisdom tooth pulled because it was infected and fractured... TALKING ABOUT PAIN! Whew! Feel better!

I had an abcessed tooth for like 2 years cus I had a big hole in my tooth ...an didnt treat it and I ate only on the right side of my mouth FOR TWO YEARS because the abcess was on the left...well one day that abcess was kickin my ass an I had no choice but to go get it pulled I was terrified of the dentist until after that because I realized that you're only hurting yourself when u dont go an YES an abcess can contain deadly pus on the inside. hope u get well soon.
