  • 747 is proven worldwide for half a century w/ the best safety record in aviation history.

I feel safe in it whenever I travel.

  • The only thing i dont like is the the top cabin its too extened, makeing it look kinda ackward and out of place, I think Boeing should have gone back to the very first Boeing 747 shell, they made the top cabin flow with the rest of the plane, it was so sleek and beautiful, for the 747-8 all they needed to do was change the entior ,put in new engines and wing designs and there my freinds would be the sexeiest looking planee next to concord.

  • such a nice plane....

  • I went on a 747-400 Air New Zealand one to Rarotonga back in 2004, was surprised they were using one for only a 4 hour flight lol but it was nearly full with people.

  • Cool! A new queen of the sky. I think, that the 747 is more graceful then A380

  • Best looking plane out there!

  • Lets be honest, they had to do something Airbus was kicking there ass.

  • The 747 and A380 are wonderful aeroplanes, lets not fight over them.

  • This has nothing on the A380.

  • @IIproductionsII It has everything on the A380...plus it's made in AMERICA!

  • @pronofreak Ok, it's smaller, it's using the same base design as a 40 year old aircraft....it's basically just an upgrade to an old airframe and as much as I love America, just because a crap things made there...doesn't make it the best in the world....sorry.

  • @IIproductionsII Maybe it has fewer seats, but the A380 is shorter nose-to-tail, and looks like a C5 Galaxy with a white paint job and a low wing profile. Honestly, in my opinion, quite boring. The "hump" is what gives the 747 design it's character and makes it more recognizable than any other airliner.

  • i love it alot except the interior of the cockpit. it is not as beautiful as the 787 which is so nice designed and painted in that cool grey. really dont know why that all the cockpit of the 747 has to be painted in that ugly brown. however 747 jumbo always is my favourite.

  • The 747-8 is so beatiful.

  • THE BOEING 747 IS WAYYYYYYYY BETTER THEN AIRBUS A380

  • @zeldalink322 747 is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy behind the A380 which is far more advanced, highly fuel efficient, with a cockpit of the 21st century. 747 is is great but aging. Boeing keep son refurbishing it. 747 cannot keep up with a brand new designed airplane.

  • @konrad4212 Sorry to say, that the 747-8 is more fuel efficient per passenger-mile than the A380. Plus, the 747 can land at smaller airports, where the A380 is only able to land at the largest. You are right, the 747 is a 40-year old general design, but the -8 shares only the design in common with the original aircraft, and even that has been modified from the original. The cockpit has been adapted from the 787, too.

  • @Historymaker2001 The 747-8 is only 0.1 of a litre more fuel efficient than the A380 per seat, per 100miles. That's hardly anything, and considering you've got a lot more paying customers on the A380, airlines save money. The A380 also has a faster cruising speed, and is able to fly for a longer period of time, most airports adapted their runways to fit the A380, it's not that hard to do. A380s fly to tons of destinations now. In terms of looks, it's opinion...some say the 747 has a big nose...

  • @IIproductionsII It's not just runways that need to be redone, but taxiways, hangars, gates and parking ramps as well. Example: So far in Canada, the A380 can land and park at only 3 airports: Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal/Trudeau. A new runway is under construction in Calgary that is long enough for the A380, but for the foreseable & planned future, any passenger A380 that lands in Calgary will have to disembark on the cargo ramp, or pay for 3 gates at the terminal.

  • @Historymaker2001 Yes, and it's not that hard to do, basically all countries in the western world have updated their airports to accomidate the A380, if they chose not to, they will lose buisness.

  • @Historymaker2001 You are probably right about what you said, but again I think the A380 is more fuel efficient. That airplane uses up 3 litres for a passenger to travel 100km forward when at its cruising altitude. Look it up. I doubt the 747 as great as it is, can do that.....

I must acknowledge that the 747 is an awesome looking airliner.

  • airbus got more orders so far this year, actualy twice more than boeing, anybody can check it on google

  • @lauriersroses333 Yeah but Boeing has two aircraft on the market. Add both together and they have more orders than Airbus.

  • @3snowyman hi, well sorry to disapoint u,but if u check the fact on google so u will find out that airbus have more order than boeing.

  • @lauriersroses333 Actually, according to wikipedia, the A380 has 236 orders. The 787 has 821 orders. That already outsells the A380. And then add the 747-8 which has 111 orders and you can see that Boeing has outsold Airbus.

  • @3snowyman u just dnt get my point my friend :) im talking about airbus and boeing generaly!! the airbus have more orders than boeing,im reading it right now again on wikipedia, and ur comparing 787 to a380 ?? it 2 different planes, u should compare 787 to A350 and a380 to 747-8. so far this year2011 have airbus more orders than boeing, but it doesnt mean boeing are not good enough !! not that at all

  • @3snowyman you're comparing the sales for a plane that came out in 1969 with that of a plane that came out in 2007. Man I knew Boeing fans were ridiculously biased and dorky but not his bad.

Anyway, great plane, shame about the rather tacky music for such a classic model.

  • @Foxx1981 Actually, I included the 787 in my argument, which was definitely not introduced in 1969. And you can not say that the 747-8 came out in 1969. It has completely been upgraded since the 747-400 in 1989. New cockpit systems, more efficient, bigger, and many more details that make this aircraft so much better. And I am not biased; I completely respect Airbus and its achievements. It may be that I am a Boeing fan because the company is American as am I.

  • @3snowyman You can't compare A380 sales to 787 sales PLUS 747-8 sales. It isn't fair!

Just compare 747-8 and A380 sales, or 787 and A350 sales.

  • @MynameisElliott I was comparing the two to show that Boeing had more work to do. Building and marketing 2 aircraft is harder than just 1 aircraft. The A350 hasn't even begun testing yet. Has it even been built yet? But I added both 747 and 787 together because both aircraft have been put into service in the same time period with the A380. It was really a comparison between Airbus and Boeing in this year.

  • @3snowyman You need to just compare net profits of both companies, that's the only way to compare their sales fairly.

  • @MynameisElliott True. But since the argument was about the new 747 model, I thought that I should just include the profits from the new aircraft out within the year. But yes, an overall profit would show the overall success of the company.

  • @3snowyman :)

  • ugly color, old designe,it the same shape as the old 747-400

  • @spirolura fuck you and stfu cuz boeing its bettar than any plane company

sure airbus is awesome but boeing is even better and kicks ass biatch

    btw orange color is AWESOME!!!

  • damm these people are serious as hell . . lol

  • OMG!! i wont one of those!

  • I want to be a pilot

  • The one dislike must work for Airbus

  • @WENGERGOONER i dislike it, and i dnt work for airbus, but i do fly a lot, both of machines, boeing and airbus, both are great, the thing is: airbus are much avanced and more comfort,if u fly on a380 u will understand what im talking about

  • @lauriersroses333 Oh but I do. Google my name, and you will see exactly what I do :)

  • @lauriersroses333 Oh but I do. Google my name, and you will see exactly what I do :)

  • the A380 just doesn't have the graceful curves like this plane

  • @mrmmintor THAT VIDEO WAS AWESOME

  • What a beautiful plane! Love the 747!

  • So much nicer than any Airbus. Still never been on a 747 though, so sad

  • @panzr i went once on a connecting flight in Egypt 3 years ago. sat in economy.

  • the one who disliked it works for AIRBUS

  • red

  • Why couldn't they afford a real band?

  • @artistgmg why does airbus suck?

  • I think I need a cig after this video! Lol

    Awesome ol dame she is!

  • It's Change the World !

  • I'm European and a huge fan of Airbus and what they achieved with the A380 and pilots have commented how easy the plane is to fly BUT i think the Boeing 747-8 looks 10 times better and will be a better seller simply as Boeing can deliver them within 4 months. Airbus has had huge orders cancelled by customers that weren't given their plane on time!

  • @eddieb10071987 The huge cancellation are Freight version of A380. But their passenger version has keep on selling and already outsold 747. Reversely on Boeing 747, they have less passenger version than Freight version sold to airlines. Probably cargo airlines were attracted by the nose of B747 which can be open for unloading and loading cargo.

  • @eddieb10071987 I thought it was the 787 suffering cancellations? As far as I'm aware, the only cancellations on A380 passenger version was ILFC's (10) ILFC re-directed that money back into A350s instead with numbers increased.

747-8 is the better looking bird though. Sales of passenger version are pretty poor at the moment.l

  • i just wet my pants

  • That is an amazing aircraft very solidly built

  • this is a really HUGE plane

  • She is the real "Queen"!!
