High School Football Player Dies After Injury During Game

Football is a great, yet dangerous sport. I love playing on Friday nights... but when tragedies like this happen... It makes me want to put my helmet on and play hard enough for those who have lost their lives.

I remember during out 3rd game we scissor tackled (clip from the front and back with opposite shoulders the guys helmet, he bent down) he was taken off the field and driven to the hospital. I remember how bad I felt and I will never forget the feeling.

Some high school football teams are run like military bootcamps. The kid's aren't taught the glory of the game they're taught to win and nothing else. There is no fun for them only their selfish parent's.

Please, I know this football team. I know the players and the coaches. This was an accident. He had a concussion the week before. There is a good chance he shouldn't have been playing. Him dying in the game was a freak accident. These football players ARE taught the glory of the game, they do not just care about winning. They are truly a wholesome team. They are very shaken up from this event. It's been a rough week for everybody.
