I had an 08 Altima which the 16th of last month I had a wreck and this car saved me, I did have a broken femur, fractured knee and fractured ankle but I'm able to see my little girl every day and I'll be back on my feet in a couple months. Great cars... Not to mention I work at the Smyrna plant lol.
What the fuck. I'd rather have some teeth missing than for my head to hit a steering wheel at 40mph. If you didn't have an airbag and you hit a car at 40 mph you'd probably lose all your teeth; therefore airbags are better than hitting a damn steering wheel. smfh;
@rionljr It is true that airbags do hurt to a certain point. But the impact of an airbag would be nothing compared to damage from the steering wheel, where the impact can broke the driver's ribs and hurt the lungs. Also travelling without a seatbelt in a car with airbags is potential suicide.

@Brettonland , U should get the newer altima 07 to 11. I got into a head on collision yes2day. Seems my 2010 Altima frame didnt get rock up compare to the other guy. The later model has a Steel Frame then all aluminum witch is why the Altima is like 300 LB heaveyer. All this choulda been avoided if that prick had stop or slow down but no he went into my line an hit me head on.
Yeah, if i were 2 get a hybrid i'd get an Altima. Because they still look good, unlike the Prius and the camry is just ugly all the time... hybrid or not

i've seen other cars performed just as this and didn't need the side airbag deploying. and anyways, why do you need a side airbag for a FRONTAL collision. higher insurance premiums.
