No point comparing bands. You have to acknowledge The Go-Go's were really successful. They're probably the most successful all female rock band in history. Both of these songs were huge hits on radio and clubs. They were a staple on early MTV and they got a lot of airplay on both Rock and Pop radio stations. Carson didn't have nobodies on his show.

Once could say the same for Terry Hall and Fun Boy Three, since they both own part of the song.

Jane is in full dominatrix mode here with her look (a role she actually played during the band's hiatus, as revealed on a VH-1 reality show, The Surreal Life) and Kathy Valentine is looking uncharacteristically glam as a blonde. A wig, maybe? Anyway, it was great to see them again. And you can never rule out yet another reunion as they are all on good terms.

@Starbuckfsd according to Jane Wiedlin's website she left in the mid 1980s and pursued a solo career that had ONE hit but went nowhere. also, Jane Wiedlin pursued an acting career and has gone COMPLETELY FREAKY with green hair and clog shoes. also, more recently Jane Wiedlin has broken her foot while hiking and has not been seen on tour. besides this clip is from the late 1980s or early 1990s because Johnny Carson is still alive. the sound is a little different also.
